Hey guys. I don't know any of you yet, This is my first post here.
Anyways I thought I would kick things off with a new track of mine. It's a chilled melodic trance track with a piano break and original main melody. Tell me what you think :)

hi there.... i had a listen to this. great track man... your mixing is great. what a unique progression, and the main saw lead suits the track so well! beautiful piano. the notes are euphoric.
im adding this to my ipod...

Hi mate, thanks for joining us! :D
It starts right off the bat with a nice bassline, and cool percussions.
Nice square leads accompanied with beautiful piano riffs, I liked the pads in this one, well taken cared of.
The kick has a nice click on it, I just think it needs a bit more of gain, if possible.
In the breakdown.
Nice dark feel, wow, excelent piano arpeggios. Definately a different way of programming or did you played this with your very hands?
Is beautiful and all, but I don't feel it really built up for the climax, I don't know it was too sudden for me, which is a shame, because I'm liking the dark atmosphere of this track. Climax is very nice, is a dark dreamy track.
A con of this track, is the percussions were all the same, same hi hat, same clap through the whole track.
the bells make the track sound a bit cheesy, which ruins the track for me at that point.
Pros: Piano Riffs, Pads, Square Lead melodies. Is dark, I like dark stuff a lot!!!
Cons: Lack of variation in the percussions, deficient build up to the climax. Kick needs more gain. |

PDM. Very helpful comments mate. I'll certainly have a mess around with it and see what I get. And to be quite honest, i'm not to keen on the build myself. Theres.....nothing there. But It can be changed.
The bells. I guess they are a little cheesey :tongue2 They actualy come in twice so I was thinking of removing the first set and keeping the second. What would you think? The first set seem too plain and all on thier own.
Anyways thanks again :) Sounds like I reviewed my own track there :confused: Oh well. Seeya people!

great intro and very nice smooth bassline/kick. OMG breakdown sounds so amazingly orchestral and the tension and anticipation... outstanding... this is one of those songs you want to keep turning up louder and louder...
thanks for sharing, reminds me of chicane which is one of my favourite trance producers... |

Great bassline, sounds really like Lange - Follow Me.
Nice square sounds that come in, mixing is very good too. Breakdown - I love the start of it, very orchestral, the piano is perfect too. I like it when the beat comes back in, although the kick could be a bit punchier.
Great song though, enjoyed it. |
