ok semi-sane at this point....for a second this morning i was scared it was going to be a sunny day, i dreaded the sun and was praying for dark rainy clouds....you could tell i wasn't planning on doing much today LOL

anyways...lets get to the review...
the first 3 hours was really slow after andrew voght (sp?) opened with some yummy minimal....then diggers came on and started with some very very slow deep dark prog...sasha came on say 30-45min after diggers and just picked up where diggers left off...nothing too exciting....this was when crobar was the most crowded. then around 3-3:30 i think sasha was on and you tell there was a huge shift in energy. this is also the point where the crowd began to thin out...

from 3:30 onward until about 7am-ish they were both simply relentless...people could move around it and the bass levels just seem to really be long and drawn out...the bass that you could feel in your throat...

i had tons of fun and for those who saw me last night, i had my full party hat on last night...reason being is cuz i got promoted yesterday!!!!

anyways, im not going to remember everyone's name but i remember too cool chris, umes, and the standard party people. shouts to jon and amanda, thero, tom, john, ryan, christina and anyone else i didn't mention.

carl cox tonight - DO IT

congratulations biotch!!! :toothless

Ah, I'm undergrad, so McMahon Hall is our dorm, on 60th and Columbus (though my suite is closer to Amsterdam). The Rosa is a great place, though I always thought it was on the East side... 1st or 2nd avenue.

boy some of you are really hard to please!! i couldn't stop dancing last night for 6 hours straight!

i'm sorry some of you dont appreciate the subtleties of john digweed's music. i thought he ing RIPPED it, as did Sasha. last night was absolute magic, it had all the great characteristics of a sasha & digweed set- it had that dreamy, dark melodic feel the way though while being very techy at the same time... i'm glad they didn't over-do it on the electro stuff. they kept it super proggy.

as illustrated by my opinions on the sasha night in january, i guess my tastes don't mesh too well with most of yours :) maybe i enjoy the 'boring,' more technical stuff

last night was the best set/night that i've been a part of in a while... imo better than the s&d night last year.

I can't believe I forgot this one in my review. I couldn't remember the track title off the top of my head last night, but I knew it was on Balance 005.

I don't think the opener in the main room was Andrew Vogt. I think he played in the Reed Room. I briefly met him at Cielo at Sasha's gig and I'm pretty sure he was a completely different person. I think Christina has pics that I'll post later if someone can ID him.
