or when your experiencing mind bending euphoria |

Also M.I.K.E and Tiësto used to take drugs in their youth; now they're completely against it...

i think its pathetic that people need to take drugs to enjoy trance. this means that they dont actually like the music and need to be off their to have a good time. i love dance music and clubbing and never take drugs (i have tried e, but it didnt make me have a better time), i listen to it at any time of day and dont need drugs to 'enhance my experience'. i hate the stereotype that you have to be a pill head to like trance, this gives the genre and the scence a bad name and reputation. :whip: |
What you say here is courageous and true ! |

This is a stupid argument,. People who don't take drugs are by definition naive and biased (and usually young and are trying to create some kind of identity for themselves by supporting certain viewpoints and beliefs to the point of blindly-stupid stubbornness).
back on topic please:

So what about those drugs he mentioned earlier? Coming from the Netherlands where drug enforcement laws are considerably relaxed Armin laments, "It's a pity this music is so associated with drugs. A lot of people forget that this whole club is filled with young kids who just want to meet each other and have a great time, who just want to get drunk. I really don't think everyone is on drugs. Most people just come to enjoy the night. I'm sure of it." |
That sounds like the typical Armin rhetoric.

With the decline in Dance music in the UK within the last year have u noticed that it’s the same in other countries that you DJ in?
Germany is in a hard recession at the moment which means that everything there is slowing down at the, and not just the clubs, but all over the country. But I think in England the focus has shifted from being about the music onto what drugs are best. The magazines in England don’t support the clubs enough, all they talk about is what combination of drugs is best to get through the weekend and stupid gossip like that. They aren’t concentrating on finding new and interesting talent and supporting the clubs and the music. So if I were reading these magazines it wouldn’t make me want to go out to these clubs. I think that’s the problem with the UK and as long as this doesn't change I don’t think the dance scene will get any better. Whenever I play in the UK its always very busy and very energetic, so there’s defiantly not a slow down in those terms. I think it’s a slow down in the mass appeal that dance music has, or that it did have.

He sort of mentions drugs. Anyway. Just another quote for you. I’m sure you can find much more though. That’s just a few minutes of Googling.
Bah. I’m bored. I better go do some drugs. |

Tabacco and Alcohol are the only legalised substances but they cause more problems than any other drug that I know of. And I reckon that it's down to abuse of that substance.

20 cigs / day = i feel like throwing up. out of breath. headache. no
appetite, sore throat. lungs hurt. cant sleep.
20 j's / day = really really stoned. major munchies. sleepy. amused.
in really good but lazy mood.
what was the arguement again ? |

If you smoked 20 joints in one day you will be a mental midget in no time
The stuff up here is pretty good, dont know what kind of crap you smoke, but excess use of weed is worse then tobacco imo |

| he probably meant to say that tobacco is more dangerous than weed. smoking tobacco is so dangerous that it kills ppl that dont smoke tobacco. second hand smoke, third hand smoke.... and i kinda agree with alcohol bein worst than some drugs, not by what it does to your body, but how ed up it gets you. it isnt cool anymore when some ppl dont just drink to get in a good mood, but drink to get totally smashed and do ed up things that they wont remember the next day. |

Try doing that everyday for a year. Then come and talk to me.
20 joints/day/week/month/year is FAR MORE fatal than any copious amounts of tobacco. Only reason why more people die of tobacco is because its much more easily accessible, more efficient in that it keeps your conscience straight, and its alot easier to abuse and use tobacco excessively while living a working life.
You can't honestly believe joints are less harmful than cigarettes. |
