Yeah, its too bad about all the candy kids, but I was really pleased with music; especially Thomas Datt, Signum, and Blank & Jones. Plus it was awesome meeting all the TAs (for reference I was the shorter one in the TA shirt).

EDIT: The long will call line was lame, it made me miss St. John's set, which I heard was great. :whip:

only got to meet 1 TA. i loved it when B & J dropped Revealed - Mac Zimms Remix

i know they have been playing that track a lot on their radio show but its so different hearing it on a BANGING system.

I could be completely wrong, but I was in the crowd and a asian guy who sorta looks like you turned around saying how they saw whoever was playing at the time at Spundae LA...

Wish I wasn't suffering from a cold all week...the damn vicks vapor rub peeps were using was burning my sinuses. People were putting those stupid tubes of vicks vapor rub up their nose right in front of security in the smoking area and no one would even question what they were doing. How rediculous.

If you want to get ed up and go to a rave...fine, do it. It's your choice and I don't really care. But don't act stupid and don't think it makes it OK to act stupid. You can totally f'ed up and be civil. Yes, it is possible. It's people in the crowd like that which has the goverment being so hard on the EDM (mainly trance and/or drum-n-bass) scene these days. A lot worse stuff goes on in other music scenes but the actions of the people in those scenes is much more timid and doesn't catch the eye of the authorities so much.

BTW, I want to make it clear that I don't blame Skils for the crowd. They can't help who shows up...just who shows up end up showing up and the crowd last night was a big ole UGH.

Love the lineups, love the setup, love the music, love everything...but the vast majority of the attendees.

Actually I didn't think there were that many Asians at Popsicle. I was expecting more, but the crowd was fairly well mixed. Now go to trance nights at 1015 and 80% of the room is Asian. It's kinda weird when it gets like that, even for me :wtf: I loved the love parade crowd, very diverse crowd of TRUE partiers!

Dude, there were tons...especialyl once you pulled back from the very front...may not have noticed it yourself..just know cause I walked through the crowd to see how it was....which was hard with like the 80 person puddle in the middle.

Yeah, its not their fault, its just a shame that their events always get plagued. Still, I hope they keep up the good work and give SF more great talent in the future.

Yeah I DEFINITELY must have missed it cause I for sure didn't see an 80-person e-puddle :wtf:. that must have been a site, I wish I got a pic! :haha: Now that I think about it, I always used the side-front door coming in to avoid as many puddles in the back as possible so really I only saw like the front left side of the main floor the whole night. Between Friday and Saturday that was definitely a weekend to reflect on :wtf:. I'm just glad I didn't catch half the nastiness you saw, especially at Get Freaky... omg!

All I have to say is after the recent busts in NY, Skills better check its crowd, for their own sake, because last night was UGLY. I'm very surprised at how lenient the SFPD was being. I mean they were all around the Civic plaza watching people get carried out, people puking, people sidestepping it, people with their eyes rolled all the way back. They could have shut that whole place down in a heartbeat based on the fact that it could be classified as a drug den. I'd like to see more restraint from the Skills crowd on SFLP 06 because last saturday is NOT how I want to see trance represented here... it could be something as simple as an official post on the rave forums to chill the out. I mean you can see in massive European trance parties, EVERYONE is ed up with huge dialated eyes, but they are still smiling and dancing and making eye contact and not looking like they're possessed. That's something called "tact", these kiddies need to learn it so we don't have politicians and law enforcement bearing down on a PLAINSIGHTED problem in the community!

After having a blast with Rank 1 and Signum in LA, Kittycrush Michelle and I decided the next day to drive up to San Fran to continue the party. I have to say the weekend was one of the most fun I've ever had in my life! I'm sorry to hear people didn't have that much fun at Popsicle, and I consider myself very lucky because we didn't have to spend any time in the main area with all the messed up kids.

To summarize the night: DUTCH GUYS ARE CRAZY!!!   ;)

It was nice meeting Thomas Datt (did you enjoy the cheese and phone? ;) Send me your email addy if you want pics to refresh your memory....). I hope you made it home ok! The only other TA I saw was Gehzumteufel.

Now I have to recover from the weekend....Being at work is painful....:(
