Hernan was awesome. Amazing progression in his set. 16 Bit Lolitas - Destiny = OMFG
Never thought hed play that, but it was HUUUUGE like it was when Sasha played it.
Dave Seaman played probably the most boring and uninspiring set I have ever heard at Avalon. He played Zombie (Aquachop Dub)...come on dude...I'm playing newer tracks in my bedroom  Not thats its about playing new tracks, but all the tracks he played were just boring, generic sounding electro or big room prog, pitched to 132. There was no anticipation or building in his set...just seemed like a bunch of peaktime stuff in a jumbled order, that led pretty much no where. I don't think I've ever been so bored out of my mind at Avalon....good thing bas and others were there or it would have sucked.
A highlight was seeing my friend Leon show up at 5:30 and doing the middle finger over his head while Johan Gielen looked at me like :wtf: :stongue:
Me and bas held the heart for Dave Seaman, and then I ate it. Seaman didn't see it, and if he did I guess he didn't care (surprise surprise). But we had fun. Adios ftw, and flask of whiskey ftw.
Hangover is mild...cause I spent so much time sobering up standing/sitting around during Seaman's set.
Looking forward to April 22nd.
And a HUGE THANKS to Drew for that little token you brought me back from Miami. It just so happens to be one of the few Sasha CD's I don't own :D Thanks man! |

Yeah man...and usually I'm just happy to hear any ok tracks on that sound system...cause its a treat....but me and Bas concluded that if we had Seaman's slot, our set would have owned his :toothless |

| I agree CLovis. The most boring set ever. I'm a big fan and this is the 4th time I saw him. Hes been brilliant the all other occasions. It was terrible last night and I wanted to throw up. Good seeing you guys last night. |

He has a in CD coming out :wtf:
I mean, he wasnt horrible....the crowd was eating it up (of course the avalon crowd isnt the most EDM savvy)...and his mixing was good....it just wasnt, interesting. It was boring. It was plain and predictable, and I think one of the best traits a DJ can have is to be unpredictable, to keep the listener off guard, and surprise them. Danny Howells is really good at this, because he plays such a broad range of music. I mean, most the big guys I like are good at this...or if they're not, they make up for it in programming and set progression.
Yeah so, Dave Seaman...meh unimpressed. Me and Bas played a better set in my room before going to Avalon :haha: |

Yeah I was disappointed as well, last time he played a pretty awesome set. But last night it was like listening to a Kiss 100 show...a rerun of a Kiss 100 show :wtf:
Hernan though...HOLY !! The last track he played was Sander Kleinenberg - My Lexicon (16 Bit Lolita mix). He was sick!! The last 4 tracks, 2 of them I heard Digweed drop @ the Pawnshop, then it was Chab, then My Lexicon. ing amazing. Can't wait to see him again. |
