if you want to make trance come back, try and make the ratio of productions that are actuably listenable or danceble better than 1 in 100.If you dont agree with this ratio its obvious you listen only to livesets and dont actually check out all the garbage being released.

The only thing i like fluffy is whipped cream.

So true.

I didn't believe it back then, but now I see it. If you listen to EDM long enough you just can't help but notice more and more the lack of quality in 99% of trance!

But why listen to all the garbage coming out? you can say the same about any kind of music.

okay,
so what you are saying is that most Trance being released is good?
The popularity of the big 3 has lead to nothing but garbage being released.

I'm curious please answer with your opinions on why Trance is so much tier today then ever.I used to love it , now it makes me sick.
I hope you arent saying that Trance is at a high point...

I never said everything getting released is good I said that you can say the same about any type of music. Alot of crappy rock gets released you just dont have to listen to it. I wont even get into the amount of crappy pop and hip hop that gets released for any reason except the quality of the music.

Now for not liking trance anymore, you might just have changed taste or it might be that you just have a negative opinion towards now before the music even starts.

I kind of agree with you, altough recently there's been some interesting stuff, you have to go through the crap and find the nice ones.

But for me (and this is an opinion) I can listen to it for longer periods and especially dance longer a whole night. For most house dj's I find that I like it alot but then after like 1h I get bored. Also last time I saw armin he mixed in a few more housy beats and some techno (some tracks by preach, etc) which I think add alot to it and makes it possible to enjoy a long set. Also, yes the buildups can be pretty cheesy but you have to admit it brings a crowd together.

wow what a big coincidence.

im gonna be in T.O during that week :toocool:

sander, burridge and danny howells 4 me, then sander on the 22nd @ stereo. sickness.

I remember back in the days the lineups in MTL were incredible. Im not going 2 BeB cuz there's no one worthy to go see (except Fanciulli of course). I love armin and deep dish but i want something different and dont wanna pay mad $$$ plus its during university exams, which BeB should have thought of. :whip: ahh well they'll pack it up anyways, its beb.

Let's face it, T.O rapes us with their lineups now. Those cream, swirl, celebration, oasis, freaky, connected & forza lineup days are over. I just wish i was a bit older too experience the eariler years, i just caught the end of the prime time.

I dont think promoters wanna take the risk of losing cash anymore, which is understandable. We should have appreciated it more when we had it by showing up 2 more events...the hottest spots in our city now are supper clubs, which can pack the club without headliners anyway so why pay an extra $10000-$20000 to get big name. Aria & Stereo cant book everyone all the time for us, i guess it just doesnt make sense financially for them...the massives are all but dead, besides BEB and celebration of course. Sorry to sound so negative but thats the truth. More people should have come to siwrl last year, it was a very hot lineup, not enough people supported the party and the true fans are gonna have to pay the price. I remember swirl 2002 had i think 10000 ppl @ the molson centre. the older partiers probably "retired" and most younger clubbers just followed what was the "in thing", hip hop.

Toronto has lots more peeps than here anyways. Bigger market, more fans, more money. but still a hockey team (had to throw that in, even if it didnt flow with the post) :)

my 2 cents.

And I mostly like some really chilled house, like Miguel Migs.
