What Robin Williams meant in that speech was that it takes EXPERIENCE...you can read anything and everything and spit out fact after fact...but that doesnt mean you know a damn thing. |

my comment had *nothing* to do with my own personal opinions on the subject at hand, but more to the fact that you are at least a semi-regular PDD poster, whereas ive never seen tranceee post ever before, in any forum. and because you are a serial abusive offender. like calling someone \\\"liberal\\\" is an argument of some worth or something :rolleyes: i mean seriously; i dont know anyone thats so narrow-minded as to fit themselves within a box with such a limiting descriptive potential. it illustrates a severe lack of understanding regarding political discourse.

see, this is what im talking about. how does this advance any intellectual or political position? what are you hoping to achieve here, beyond coming across as an uneducated redneck?
what i and other PDD posters are complaining about is people's tendency to go straight for the abuse rather than constructing a civilised argument. that is what the PDD was for.
if you wish to yell abuse, misuse half-truths & make baseless assumptions masquerading as logic then stay in the COR. the people there dont know any better.
but i for one enjoy a proper discussion where the debaters' first tendency is not to cry \"liberal\" or \"convervative\" or \"jew\" and pretend that somehow ends the debate. theres absolutely no logic in that. the most beautiful, powerful & influential political treatises the world has seen dont conduct themselves in this way. take the hint. |

to be honest, i had a better grasp of the english language when i was in primary school. no, youre obviously not illiterate but you still have a fair way to go if you wish to eliminate ambiguity in your posts. writing is a skill and one that takes a lot of practice to get right. going to a \"good\" high school is neither here nor there.
nowhere in my post did i make any baseless assumptions. i merely pointed out that criticising someone (for such things as) being a jew was hardly a constructive position. in fact its not a position at all.
but yes, to be honest again, the fact that you cant see the obvious problems with your style of argument (or lack thereof) indicates to me that you are indeed dumber than i. theres no real shame in that though, theres plenty of PDDers in here that run intellectual rings around me. we cant all be of the same intellect. i come here to learn from other people more knowledgeable/experienced/intelligent than myself. perhaps you should do the same :)
