I'm sure they can follow him while waiting for the other police to make sure he doesn't do anything. As soon as he behaves illegally then they could rush in and prevent that. You should be safe on campus. |
that's what I thought
however I heard that they can't do much except for talking, and let's say he starts running away, having done something wrong, they can't go after him
but don't quote me on that one |

After five years of pound-me-in-the-arse-prison maybe it's the guys that should beware... :nervous:
Seriously though women, try not to walk alone; walk in groups!
Or have a guy walk with you where ever you go.
I've heard the sneakers tip before; good advice.
And basic self-defence is always a great idea; as my wife learned from her years of Kung Fu / Kickboxing - "Eyes and Balls"... |

our so-called York "security" can't do if they come across him on campus, they can only go and call the police |
That's true, but then again that applies to most trespassers. You can't use force against a trespasser, nor arrest one, unless it's reasonable to do so (for example: self-defence or defence of others). Basically he has to actually commit a crime before he can be touched.
What the Ontario government should do is replace the York security guards and create a "York University Division" of the Toronto Police Service.
As a practical matter, I doubt the little $h!t would attack someone being escorted by York Security (they have that night service).
lol I almost said "escort service" |
