The question is...can any one afford to go to all 3? :eyes:
since I just saw Tiesto in Brazil (bragging more about Brazil, not Tiesto)...I'm skipping all the shows in CA. I might go to the Vegas show, that's probably it....unless I happen to still be in SF for the SF show.
I don't know how anyone could deal with the Tiesto hell line at Avalon. I would rather drive down to SD. |

| never seen tiesto, mainly because i don't think he's worth the price, but i heard he spins a mean ass set in sf cause he's much more focused. so i'll give that one a try... |

I'll say this and many will agree. These days you go to a Tiesto gig for the vibe and the party. It's something about his name...like Madonna...that just creates such a buzz. Many a TA will atest that his skills have gone down. Maybe it's his hearing that's going. But he is clearly not on his game anymore (though it's been reported his Mansion set was ok).
And yes, I do think he's overpriced, but if it's a party you want, then you gotta pay. But that's why I have no problem downloading his stuff. He's gotten plenty money through his gigs. I think he's pretty ok with it :toocool: |

i dunno why i think the 18+ will sell out quicker.......alota horny kids wanna see Tiesto, and now heres their chance to get the clubbing experience @ the BEST club in LA with arguably one of the top DJ's in the world....i mean its common sense |

last time saturday sold out fast. Sunday tickets were available until like the night before.
more people want to go out saturday night. 21+'s don't want to go out to an 18+ show on a sunday (unless they are big Tiesto fans).
18-21 demographic have less money to burn than 20s-40s.
I went to both nights last time, Sunday was better. |

yah but most 21-40 have already seen tiesto and they arent as excited or anxious to see him.....most people are goin out personally for a fact because they are regulars @ Avalon, and hey why not see Tiesto also.....Me personally i would rather see Satoshi Tomiee and Mathew Dekay spin @ Avalon rather than Tiesto and Dinaire.....
21+ people will casually go2 Avalon, as opposed to the quantity of anxious kids who are waiting for Tiesto like hes in god.....
i dunno just my mentality, but either way theyre both getting sold out quick..........Avalon is made to be dark , dirty, and hard banging......
thats why i didnt even bother going to any of the L.E.F.'s......i wonder how Tiesto's trance vibe will blend in.......
(PS i hope he plays La Noche, i love that track) |

Venue is key in this regard, though.
Example: Blank & Jones. I am not a huge fan of their programming and mixing when I see them live. But they just bring a great crowd to 1015. It's so much fun. Just like when G&D first started playing here. Their sets were always "OK," but the vibe in the room was so much fun you didn't care...it was great.
Now the last couple times I've seen Tiesto it's been at Ruby Skye (albeit way back in 2004) and both times his sets were actually very, very solid...just the crowd sucked ass so it made it difficult to have great fun. Especially his December 2004 which was on an f'n Wednesday night. Crowd was so horrible that night. |
