| Hey just wondering if anyone here notices a big difference between the EDM scene on the West coast and the scene on the East. How's it different? Which parties harder? |

They get Sasha & Digweed alot, good opening DJ's, more mature TA's, more variety of music, alot more interesting smaller parties, more variety of clubs.
We get the big names more consistently...thats about it. |

East Coast by farrrrrrrrrr
if it wasn't for the East Coast, you guys wouldn't have no Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Danny Tenaglia.
it takes bout 2-3months for a track to become popular on the west coast that has already been played to death by East Coast DJs |

Dont think we need them here though, got enough DJs playing in west coast.
The WMC host on the east coast prolly cause we have enough parties here in LA already. |

East Coast > West Coast (slightly)
Last call for drinks is at 4 AM in NYC plus :p
Plus we get the nice residencies (Howells, Sander in NYC to name a few, Porter in Boston monthly)
Other than that, I find the West Coast crowds a lil more fun to dance with since they're more laid back than the East Coast crowds since there aren't lots of lee hottis to deal with |

kinda.... def. LESS variety of music but the rest you seem pretty spot on about. i grew up in boston and NYC.
most of the promoters and parties are more established and less 'big event' things happen. however, the culture of the music is no different than out here.
the opening DJ's are a complete product of their environment as are the ones out here. |
