I wish I could have been an alt....

I think it would be fun to have an alternate personality.
All of you generally have an idea of what to expect from me, but if I were to create an alt, you would have no expectations.
I think this would be fun in my real life as well. Be able to start fresh as a new person without any pre-determined ideas of what is to be expected of me.
I would like to think I am a good person and that I try to behave as the best person I can, but I would like the chance to wreak havoc, do bizarre things and not to be limited by what is considered normal by the standards people have attached to my personality.
If you aren't getting what I am saying, I will give an example.
I have a certain fashion style that I think is well established, but say tomorrow I went to classes wearing a black trenchcoat and sunglasses, everyone would wonder what the hell I was doing, and why. They most certainly would vocalize their curiousity, and I doubt it would make sense to many if I replied "because I felt like it".
This is because people know it isn't my "norm".
Anyone agree or understand what I mean? |

| personally, i have a really hard time pretending to be anyone other than myself, whether it's online or in person. it could be fun to have an alternate personality... but the time, dedication, and work that would be involved in making it appear "real" and avoiding flaws is too much for me. |

Well, essentially it would be you, just a part of you that you don't show often/ever. |

kind of like that time i got really drunk and then told a guy standing in line for falafel that i was a newspaper reporter and then proceeded to interview him for my article "Manhattan's Wildest Falafel Balls"? |

Hmmm, that also incorporates the idea that there are things we are just simply afraid to do, (when we're sober).
I dunno, I would like to escape the confinements of societies expectations of me as Theresa and me as a member of Western Culture.
For example... the other day I was sitting in Timmys and I wanted to jump up on the tables and start dancing. Of course I didn't do it, but I wish I could have. |
