maybe not for you

how bout the workers that were fined 4hrs pay for "organising" on a worksite to spend 15 mins gathering financial contributions for the widow of some fella killed on the job.

link

or how bout the workers that were all fired and then asked to reapply for their jobs under new arrangements?

link

or those threatened with litigation for refusing to work in un-hygenic conditions
link

these were just the ones i encountered today. and if you think thats all well and good, thats fine. but, assuming the cases are genuine, its pretty fvcked from where im sitting.

which is not allowable under the laws, and is being investigated by the department;)

Look, was happening before the laws were passed, and is happening since.

yes, its being investigated. no, it hasnt been confirmed whether its legal or not. and what, youre telling me people wont be breaking the new laws at some stage or another? come on. the new laws greatly increase the opportunity for abuse. and i guaran-damn-tee you it will see abuse.

that reminds me of another question... what is marriageable age? or "legal" (not that I date jailbait, this question was just out of pure curiosity)

This is what I had issue with. I DID NOT TELL YOU AT ANY STAGE what you claim I did.

In fact, I said they would be abused.

no, but for your statement

to actually mean

quote:

the new laws have nothing to do with this particular instance

(which is im thinking what you were trying to say, forgive me if im wrong?)

you would have to be arguing that the new laws have nothing at all to do with the new work standards culture, which is what i was arguing, albeit perhaps ambiguously. give an inch...

also, my comment

and what, youre telling me people wont be breaking the new laws at some stage or another?

is a question, not a statement. i guess you answered it :p
Trance Nutter
No. You misunderstood. As usual.
