Psychiatry/Psychology: I pick people apart good, and most of the time I guess I can put them back together right... but that seems like a boring and depressing career.

| DJ RJT |
DJ'ing - I know that sounds funny as I'm "DJ RJT," but realistically I'm not pursuing a "career" in DJ'ing at the moment.
I guess in my opinion it's just one of those things that IF I could make a living doing, I would, but would personally never attempt to put everything else aside to pursue it until I knew I had a solid "fallback" plan. I just feel it would be unfair to those I love and to whom I am, and will become, responsible for.
I actually think AvB is a perfect example of a DJ who didn't place immediate priority on "making it," but rather on ensuring that he'd be able to provide a good life for himself and his family through education (Note: He has a degree in Law) before he really took on the challenge of DJ'ing/producing as a career.
He knew the odds weren't good, so he covered his ass first.

I'd be a good restaurant manager too. i worked at an upscale steakhouse for almost a year and the way they did things there was awesome. i bet the GM there easily made like 70-80k a year plus bonuses. i still go there for dinner a lot and it's the best food and service, hands down. everyone has to help everyone out...you don't just stick to "your tables"...so you never have to wait long for anything...it's a great system. but i also notice things when i'm out dining and i have a great sense of what customers want and how a dining experience should be.
i would never pursue this though due to the long hours and all the rejects who usually work for you. i couldn't deal w/ people not showing up, etc... but i think i would do a damn good job of running a nice restaurant. |
