lolz rap = crapz omg

To be honest, there is no good club hip hop right now. I'd rather stick a screwdriver in my ear than listen to it. :clown: But... there is good hip hop out there. Just a lot less than there was 6 or 7 years ago.

sadly, hip-hop and rap when to absolute e around 6 - 7 yrs ago like many of you guys have said so if you want to listen to some really influential and timeless hip-hop you have to go back about a decade..try these albums tho, purely on the fact that they are well put together and actually had some effort put into them, unlike the garbage that comes out of the radio these days:

souls of mischief - 93 til infinity
notorious BIG - life after death, ready to die
tribe called quest - anthology is a good one to start with, cant think of the others right now...
the roots - anything up to and including their album, things fall apart
dj danger mouse & gemini - ghetto pop life (pretty recent, but well done and not commercial crap)
mos def - black on both sides, blackstar album
dr dre - the original chronic album

these are albums that actually voice opinions with some eloquence while still being fun to listen to imo...enjoy

It is quite tragic that most mainstream hip hop of today has descended into a mass marketing mtv pop image/ rnb fused mess of a creature.

all that of today like 50 Cent and G-Unit. These cats make "hip-pop" music.
What's classified as "good" hip hop? Check out artist such as:

Army of the Paroahs
Jedi Mind Tricks
Masta Ace
Gangstarr (u should really check their out if you are looknig for dope ass beats - DJ Premier I salute you)
Cunninglinguists
Immortal Technique
Coremega
Aceyalone
Wu Tang (although some their beats these days sound horrendous)

Basically, I think real hip hop is all about dope lyrics and the raw urban "boom-bap" beats I dun give a if you call this old skool 90's .

The last album Wu Tang meets Indie Culture - Think Differently was pretty poor, but those beats were'nt done by RZA.

Also Iron Flag wasn't good at all...

As for Fishscale - it's not bad but it's nothing really special. I loved Dj Muggs and GZA - Grandmasters though.
