well, star trek had some pretty good spin offs. Like TNG and DS9.

| i'm not saying either are bad shows, just severely overrated by obsessive junkies. i don't watch much tv but lost and the shield are much better shows |

| oh come on, 24 is so lowest common denominator, a show that doesn't make you think, but spells it all out for you. the flow is so unnatural and unrealistic the way that each character narrates what they are about to do and why they need to do it so the audience doesn't get lost. and it's just a stupid cyclical plotline of recycled obstacles... intelligence drops from the sky, jack has to do something, someone on the inside thwarts jack, quick chloe h4x the dod mainframe, jack is saved!, more leads drop from the sky, bureacratic red tape slows jack down, there's no time--jack manhandle info out of the ONLY lead, jack is considered a traitor, jack is a fugitive, jack is a hero again, jack is a fugitive again... after 4 seasons, you're no longer captivated by all the sensational action and you realize just how formulaic the whole damn thing is... |
