I also have to say that some of the comments earlier in this thread really bother me. To say that nothing good comes from Germany and that the "Germans" let the holocaust happen is ridiculous. My great grandfather came here from Germany, so I suppose that means I'm not good then. Most people living in Germany today had nothing to do with what happened 60 years ago, but still get blamed for it all the time.
It's the same thing as saying that the Americans are responsible for all the wars over religion, oil, etc. that have killed so many people (Iraq our latest example) when a good majority have nothing to do with it and even oppose it. It's just not fair to stereotype the citizens of an entire country over an event, no matter how bad it was. There are good and bad people everywhere, and I'm sure that both live within all of our borders.
I love Europe and visit every chance I can. The best music seems to always come from there, a good part of it from Germany. I'm also looking forward to the Love Parade...even if some lousy rumor is true that it will only happen in Berlin, I know that the people don't intend to capture and control electronic music and keep it all there (well, maybe a few would, guess I should watch my own stereotypes)! :) |
eh I think we are just pissed and want someone to blame, so we blame the country with a LP this year.
Sucks cause tis such a fun event. Maybe SF can market their own parade, called Lust Parade |
