Flatliners is a 1990 movie starring Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, William Baldwin and Oliver Platt as medical students experimenting with near-death experiences.
Tagline: Some lines shouldn't be crossed.
Some medical students take turns temporarily killing each other, then bringing each other back to life with the intent of simply "visiting" the Afterlife. They keep increasing the length that they are dead for, and eventually some of their perceived sins start literally coming back with them until their need for atonement is realised.
The title refers to the flatline state of an EKG or EEG at death. |
just browsing the internet and I came across this film. Sounds interesting, especially coming straight out of the American Cinema. I've tried looking for an entire plot summary, but I just come across notes. I'm guessing I could find this at the store for <$10, but that'd mean going out into the outside world.
Is it good?
Is it a horror film?
Social commentary? |
