Bal en Blanc / Montreal Review

So this past weekend Kelly, Fran and I trucked it up to Montreal for the best weekend ever:
This is gonna be long
Thursday: Fran and I got into his car and went uptown to pick up Kelly, made the best 7 hour car trip ever, the stories where class, Fran you’re a freak. Drove into Montreal and saw the skyline....awesome!!! Checked into the Holiday Inn right across the street from Palias de Congress (where Bal en Blanc was being held), dropped our off and went over to Stereo Bar, meet up with 2 MTLTA's and rocked it all night long, music was awesome, some local DJ's on that played all sorts of stuff to get us moving, drinks where cheap and we got wasted. Kel and I still Bal en Blanc poster's from the bathroom, did shots and DJ whored it up. Bar closed at 3 AM :( so we had to head back to the room, meet up with Fran again since he left early and got more wasted. Passed out.
Friday: The three of us woke up and Fran took up to Schwartz's, awesome deli sandwiches. Ate the food and then walked around Montreal and did some sightseeing. Awesome city, nice graffiti on the buildings that put NYC graffiti to shame. Did some shopping then went back to the hotel. Got ready to go out again and headed out to living to meet up with a bunch of TOTA's. There TO friend, Frankie was spinning...HELLO loved him. Kel and I danced all night. Danced with all the TOTA's, closed the place out. Club was awesome, tunes AWESOME!!! Had a great time. Left at 3:30 (half hour after the place closed and headed home).
Saturday: Fran again took us to an awesome place to eat and had the biggest best breakfast ever, ate with Nat, Graham, and Simon from TO and Kris from the Detroit boards. Fran left to get a haircut :rolleyes: and the rest of us walked some more until Kel, Graham, Simon and I stopped at a bar early on and started drinking :). Went back to the hotel and got ready for a TA dinner with a bunch of TOTA's. Thanks to Nada for setting up a great dinner. Meet some new people, everyone was so nice but sooooooo tired from Decadence on Thursday night. There where about 12 of us all together. Kel and I went out with Simon from TO and Penny from TO (Love you girl) and got faced at a local bar!!!! Then took the party Simon's hotel room. Kel and I had to leave and got pass out but Simon and Penny went up some mountain to watch the sunrise.
SUNDAY!!!: the reason we all came up... the day we rested and went to the pool then pulled out the White clothes!!! Man everyone looked so hot. I never had so much fun gettin ready for a party. Crossed the street at 10 PM to get in. Kel had to pick up here tickets and somehow through the heated french convo that went on between the head guy and the ticket place Kel and I ended up gettin VIP....our own entrance, chill area, bathrooms and T-shirts for FREE!!! Love you girl!!! HOLY was i blown away!!!! White everywhere...the outfits where amazing (no camera's inside but some pics in the Canada boards) Two rooms Tech and House. AvB, Deep Dish, Infected Mushroom, Preach, Nic F. All night my ears where like I love you!!!! The decorations where okay but I was all about the vibe and the tunes!!! In between the 2 rooms was a clubbers play land, sunglasses for sale, fake tattoos, a sex toy shop
:eyes: and the best ever a massage area...10 minutes of heaven!!! I got one and had the girl massage my legs OMG!!! Danced until noon!!! BEST PARTY EVER!!!!!!!! Danced for hours and hours and hours!!!! My legs wanted to stop but I just couldn't!!! Went back to the room and slept a few hours and then headed back to the city.
New Love: Infected Mushroom
Best set (for me): Deep Dish!!!
Sound: 9/10 heard some things that my ears did not like
Vibe: 8.5/10 Love the gay guys but dude used condom's on the floor, no shirts, not letting anyone through
I give the party a 9/10 (next year can always be better)
Weekend: 10/10 So glad I went!!!!!!

LOL....you have no idea, I was gettin freakin turned on by the chicks!!! HOT!!! the clothes where crazy, I recall a lot of shirtless guys but trust me you would have nice eye candy with the girls also.

My review from the MTLTA thread about BeB:
So, gonna jump into the thread kinda late, but I haven't had much of a chance to get online seeing as this week has been a bit on the tired side ever since getting home on Monday night from Mtl
I thought BeB was OFF THE HOOK!!!! Way better than last year. Got in around 2 am... No line at all with VIP and didnt seem to be too big of one for non-VIP also. Anyways, was yet another one of the 'suckahs' (quoting Oneeleven) who paid $3.50 for coatcheck... was pissed off about the t-shirt... this guy told me at the coatcheck that I have to be VIP-2 to get a free one.. WTF?!??! NONSENSE!! but anyways, once we got in, Infected was already on... and they freaking rocked out... I was dancing hard to their whole live performance and to most of their dj-set... They had so much freaking energy... and knowing a lot of their songs helped me get into it, since I've been a fan for a while... When they played, I'm the Supervizor, MAJOR BONKERS! same with I Wish, and same with Muse Breaks.... Checked out house room around 4:45ish, had a poopy repetitive overly-loud beat on for about 15 minutes, and it was just boring... Hence headed back for the end of the IM set... Armin came on with Coldplay - Talk and White Sand back to back... I got on the other side (I was on the tech side) of the VIP cuz I thought I could get an auto but that side wasnt too close to him... Luckily ran into the one and only hero of the night, Malek, who took my Armin T-Shirt and got it signed for me... THANKS!!!! And he took a pic of me... which was cool cuz I didnt see many photographers on the other side of the VIP room taking pics.
Armin's set, although started out a bit on the dreamier/floatier side, got really really really hard... He went from prog -> electro -> hard tech/trance... For the last 1.5 hours, he was just killing it... I was dead tired but every new hard beat gave me more and more energy with him... He was on his game, and from what I heard, much more so than in Toronto on Thursday... Was NUTS when he threw down that remix of Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams... whole place blew up.. and the vibe during Nic Chagall - Monday Bar was my shivers-up-the-spine moment. I left right before Armin ended, since the bus was leaving at 11:45 and had to make sure to get on there on time.
I thought the VIP was well worth it.. It wasn't too crowded, and having room is really important when you are dancing for that long.. I thought the DJ booth/stage was way too far from people in general... but I really dug how the whole stage was shaking (I'm guessing that was planned?) And the white benches, standing on those, and overlooking the WHOLE party while feeling the whole stage shake and jumping with it... PRICELESS
VIBE = 10/10
Females were like WOW.. even better than last year... = 9.5/10
Music = 9/10... Thank god for IM and Armin
Best party I've ever been to...
Only met Light78, and saw Malek... Didn't run into NeoHacker as I expected to I met Shea from Toronto who as she said is 'sorta' on TA... She's the official Ferry Corsten T-Shirt maker from what she said Also think I saw Nada and some of the other TOTA girls dancing on the tech-booth side of the VIP on the white benches but wasn't sure it was them so I didn't say hello cuz I was being shy hahah...
Anyways, thanks to BeB for yet another awesome MTL experience...
Basically, best party I've ever been to, hands down.... and even the girls in our group agreed.. never ever have they seen such an array of hot females in any one place in such quantity |
