It does... you can download the manual on the Pio website.

Why would I lie? :) I'm a happy MK2 user!

Thanks Ryan

You think one day they'll have cd players with the zero pitch resolution simaler to the TT's?
Ryan0751
Nope, in the digital world there is always some sort of "step". They should just stop publishing it as a spec though, as it doesn't make a difference!

Most everyone I know who mixes on both CDJ's and 1200's (including myself) will tell you that mixing vinyl is an order of magnitude more difficult than mixing on CDJ's.

thought, id ask this in this thread rather than making a new one. im currently trying to decide between the dns3500 and the cdj800mk2 they both aroundthe same price.

so i was wondering how u cue on the denons in vinyl mode and cdj mode, is it much different to the pioneers way? i dont wanna get used to cd decks are gonna be totally different to wen im playing live. ive had this problem before with going from my numarks to sum pioneers. its not like i dont know how to use them its just u get used to using ur own equipment if u get me?

hope sum1 can shed sum light on this for me?
Events@Spec
Yeah, the MK2's have .02% at 6, and .05% at 10, and .10% at Wide
nutsan
lol this thread died a while ago, i ressurected it to find out about the cue!
Events@Spec
The denon basically imported everything about the 1000's and copied it, but put their own features on top. So you can like put it in pioneer mode or whatever it's called.,

The Denon 3500 series look pretty tight. I plan to purchase at least one CD player by the end of the year. I too am torn between the CDJ 800 MKII and the Denon 3500 series.

I'll never play out in a club, so I'm not limited by the "Pioneer is the industry standard" issue. For bedroom/hobby use, I think I would be happy with the 3500. Thoughts?

It's so true about the whining for non-pio decks...

After working a few months as audio tech for a nightclub in town... where we have a pair of DNS5000s to use in the other room, I've had more DJs complain to me about not having Pioneers. When I explained to them how the unit differs, they would still look at the 5000s as if they were diseased er something!! It was hysterical!!

On another note... I get flawless mixes with my DNS1000, which has ..
wait for it....

---------> 0.1% resolution (max!) <---------

on top of that, it cost me less than 1/3 the price of a CDJ-1000 and has effects to boot!!!

So the 3500s and the pio 800 mk2s seem like they're competing with each other. Brand name aside, the DNS 3500 seems like more bang for your buck.

Which would you all choose between these two?

nutsan
defo more bang for buck! i know if ur using pioneers in cdj mode u press play to start the stutter then fnd the first beat then hit cue to store then cue point. i know the denons are different but i dunno how much different.

same, when i had my cd decks they were 0.1% and i could mix perfectly. it just requires a little more concentration.
