Nice! Anyone knows why the fack is windows to popular when people know that Macs are better OP's in general? Is it all about the marketing? |

It could have something to do with the fact that basic pc's are at most, a quarter of the price of macs.
or maybe the fact that you can't get cracked software for macs
hope this answers your q:D |

Yeh it might be because:
PCs are much cheaper to buy.
PCs are much cheaper to upgrade.
Windows Users can duel boot with Linux, which is more stable and more powerful than any Mac OS, and you can boot back into Windows for games.
Windows runs a lot more games and applications.
Windows games and applications are cheaper.
Geek users prefer Linux, gamers and regular people prefer Windows and shallow image conscious people with too much money to burn prefer Mac.
Mac users are outcasts, who should be fed effluent, if fed at all.
Mac runs lots of adverts showing of the aesthetic properties of their products rather than the features of the products, probably because Mac products are virtually featureless and overpriced. |

| The problem with the Macs is that there more about style and looks rather then performance and features, They seem to market it like that way in many of the spots we seen. Mac isn't your ideal choice if you play PC games, Macs are more toward people who produce music and movies. However, With that bootcamp software, Now Mac users have the opportunity to run those Windows only Apps and PC games. |

| Its really your choice if you want a mac, But keep in mind that the boot camp software is in beta, I also heard that the next version of OSX will support dual booting. |

Yea, I am considering this but then there is no idea how stable Boot Camp is going to be. If this is a good software - then it makes my decision a lot easier.
P.S. I hate the 1 button click on Macs. Mouse needs and deserves 2 buttons :o |
Complaining about the 1 button mouse on a Mac shows that you know nothing about the way they work. You can work perfectly with this so called 1 button mouse ( doing the alt click by hitting the mac key or something I forget which ). |

Yea I havent worked much on Mac except for a couple of skool projects...
Bootcamp is in the beta mode, that means it is still in the trial version correct?
Seems like a PC comp might be a better option for me afterall as my field of study requires more of writing documents n stuff compared to graphical stuff - and whatever creative stuff I need, photoshop should suffice.
Bootcamp does not look very promising to me for some reason.....
Granted, Bootcamp should be a good software since it is by Apple, but then so was windows ME which was garbage. |
