The Cabana Club was some good times, great tunes, and yeahh!
Avalon... I gotta say... that is the best light setup i've ever seen and why can't denver clubs have that? gheyness!
Anywhoo, the night was awesome! Mark Tabbner sucked like hell... i dunno the guy but fuuuuckkk no flow whatsoever, poor track selection, and he needs to go lol. Sasha... it was definately interesting in the beginning, started off reallly slow, i actually got a bit bored.... and LEE in LEE! he just killed the place! Granted that us COTA's got to see him like 4 times this month, his set at avalon was just mindblowing! Then the tag set between Sasha and Lee was just amazing! never would of thought i got to hear Nathan Fake - Outhouse (holden mix) two nights in a row! hehehehe... and then DESTINY! jeesush! but for me the track of the night would be:
Sia - Numb (Paradise Soul Remix)
I know that for the guys who got to goto the Sasha/JZ heard it live, but i have never heard it live before... then Sasha drops it!! zooommg!

Sasha was sick last night, but Lee Burridge totally killed the place with that 'my life'/bjork mashup. That was insaaane. But I think the track that did it for me was Francois Dubois - Blood. Ever since I heard Digweed play that at the Pawnshop it has been one of my favorites. Oh and if anyone can ID that crazy electro breaks track with the cut up female vocals that Sasha played right before Outhouse, then i'll buy you a soda. |

just got back into town, tired as hell, but well worth it! this was yet another GREAT fundacion. lee burridge really does bring the party! i saw him last year at the love lee lpsf preparty and he was equally INTO IT there too, though i liked his fundacion set much better... it was a bit darker and proggier a la sasha. i've seen a lot of big djs who'll sometimes put in 100%, sometimes 60%, sometimes 80%, but lee is just full throttle both times i've seen him. between his sick ass bass heavy dark proggy electro breaks, l33t mixing and all the funny ass faces, gestures and dances he does back there, he could probably work up the lamest crowd. like others said, the first half of sasha's set was nothing spectacular, but i look at first halfs like the nba: doesn't really matter... the second half of the night is where the beats got NASTY! at one point in the night my legs were dead tired, looked down at my phone: it's only 3 o'clock. it's only 4:30, , there's still 2 more hours! :crazy: i'm not used to the 6 hours of madness you guys get down there, i need to train harder for lawler :o
even though the last two times i saw sasha he threw in some random ass tracks in the beginning, once you get him tag teaming with another crazy ass dj ie: zabiela/burridge, wow, the synergy between them is unbelievable.
ps: bas and clovis' set at articulated OWNED! AND MAN WAS IT ING PACKED THERE! :wtf: bas you still need to give me a list of all those sick tracks. no problem on the drinks guys, i just can't believe cabana club didn't give you guys drink tickets... who spins sober anyway? :rolleyes: |

| btw taberner's set was all over the damn place. it read like an afternoon radio countdown... just a bunch of random ass crowd pleasers jumbled together in an unstructured set. i mean i liked some of the tracks, but from a dj's standpoint: no concern for flow, no concern for the fact that your job is to open for the real dj and not play whatever you wanna play. every track i heard was waaaay too fast for 10-12, especially knowing sasha starts slower. boooooo! |

I still haven't gotten any sleep. I got out of the club at 7:15 am, went home and showered and went straight to a memorial service for my Uncle that passed away and spent the rest of the day with the family :nervous: That said, this night owned me. I was diggin' it the second Sasha came on. I liked the stuff he was playing from the get go. Burridge!?! Holy !!! That was some sick music. And the tag team was even better. I really can't remember much right now other than the fact I was loving it.
Julia and her friends bought out a balcony and were kind enough to invite us to party with them. Thanks for that :cool:
FTL. I stuck my hands down the back of the pants of some Asian chick thinking it was Leah :( I hate looking up at that high DJ booth. I did something like this once before but it was Michelle (sorry again). However, this time the chick kinda flipped out and the washing machine that was her friends looked rather agitated. I was getting worried but after apologizing and expaining what happened they backed off a little :nervous:
Thats it until I get some sleep.

on a lighter note, lol @ you molesting a random washing machine :haha:. god they were BUGGIN THE HELL out of me last night, between flying washing machine hair in my mouth, elbow stabs and being leaned against/pushed on, i was ready to swing on one guy who after telling him twice "there's no need to push" kept doing it. oh and clovis got punked by nasty nate on meth who was regulating the walkway upstairs :stongue:
