ok real review time
so friday we saw sasha/lee out here in denver and it was good as well, just not avalon good :p
so we land in LA and catch a cab to our hotel to relax a bit before articulated.
we head to articulated and get in this cab/lincoln that the hotel provides and the f'n driver can't find the place to save his life :rolleyes: he keeps asking me where it is, like i know thats why we're stayin in a hotel guy, we dont live here :p
so 45-1hr later (trip should have taken 20 min max) we arrive at articulated to find bas and clovis rippin it up w/ some sexy house.
one of you guys were playin a track from desyn's nikki beach em as we walked in :)
met up with rich and kinda checked out the place, cabana club is cool, just the way it was set up for the art show wasn't conducive to people really gettin into the music which was too bad because bas and clovis were playing great.
tracks i remember them dropping:
daft punk - harder, better, faster, stronger (bas)
spectrum - kinda new (teif remix) (clovis)
the track from desyn em (don't know the name) if i had to guess i'd say it was bas playing it coz i couldnt see who dropped it as we were in line.
some remix of janet jackson "gotta have a J.O.B. if you wanna be with me!" lol bas you nutter
then clovis played a track that got some work from sasha last year (cant' recall the name off the top of my head at this time)
so after that myself, andy and the girls went to go grab dinner and meet up with our hook before the club.
got to avalon early enough that there was no line at all, so that was nice.
tabbener was playin like , guy is in terrible man.
sos --> mr. brightside --> stevie nicks - dreams :rolleyes: plz
if danielle can id a load of your set, then you're playin stale tracks (no offense dani :p)
sasha started slow imo (very similar to denver the night before) and at times seemed to lose the crowd.
lee came on and ING TORE AVALON apart, i mean the guy had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. every track got huuuuuge reactions from the crowd it was great. having seen lee 5 times this month i must say that he did a great in job of keeping his TL's varied. and playin wax is so refreshing to see these days. tbh the techs skipping didnt really bother me as much as i would have thought that it would have. it seemed to really bother lee at first, but he seemed to play it off well. he totally stole the show on this night, much like jz did on the previous fundacion night.
lee gave out some 365 promo's in denver on friday night, i'll look to rip it and up it today b/c theres several tracks on their that he played at avalon.
sasha came back on and started to slow things down again, and once again seemed to lose the crowd, i think thats the point where he decided he needed to step it up. which he did.
nathan fake - outhouse was ing huge (played this in denver as well, so i wasn't shocked to hear it at avalon, it just sounds that much better on avalons system :))
i was surprised to hear destiny, numb and that extended ableton "remix" of chab - closer to me again, being as he played them at the last fundacion gig in LA. they murdered the place tho so i didnt mind.
did anyone else notice that when sasha was doing his extended mix into numb that he was dropping little portions of outhouse in there? i was like "omfg outhouse again, no numb, no outhouse, no numb, ok i'll stfu"
and the tagging, my god. just as clovis said ing sick. we got a small taste of it in denver on friday (probably 45-50 minutes or so, but i could tell from that that LA would be special)
it was a treat to see them both working the A&H like pro's simultaneously.

i still can't put this into words, i've wanted to hear this live for soooooooooooooooooooooooo long! never thought i would, and it competely blindsided me:crazy: :eyespop: :eyes:
great to see everyone again, clovis, bas, rich, chris, gpc et. al.
so i guess we now know why sasha tabbed ing lavelle to be at the next fundacion gig....he doesnt want to be showed up again :p

long story short: my house is getting re-modeled
short story long: i had to move a buncha stuff all last week and after working all day saturday i didnt feel like going out. so i went bowling and got worked by this kid who got 5 strikes in a row:wtf:

lol no, i mean airfare/hotel etc. it costs slightly more than $50 ;)
driving is a lost cause, i have no idea how long it would take to drive from denver to LA, but i'd just rather pay the $$ to fly and save time if it came down to that :p |

The-re-edit...I guess they still havn't chanegd it on the WMC tracklist since thats where I got it from.

rich you remember towards the last hour or 2 when the guy "fell down" behind us on the floor. i say "fell down" coz i seriously thought he did at first, he looked ed, then a girl laid down on top of him, then another girl laid on top of her, and like 3 ppl surrounded them and started flashing lights in their eyes
