hahaha thats so ing disgusting, excuse my french, but oh man i know exactly what you mean. smaller and intimate is always better, but once in a while i enjoy the insanity of having HUGE amounts of people. key word, ONCE in a while

Yeah, I agree. Maybe I'll go and stand in the back...only if you TA's agree to accompany me back there. Then I'll be assured that there will be no sweaty disgusting bodies. :D I'll be boozin it up!

Different strokes for different folks. Experiencing a DJ in a club with a good sound system is more appealing than a rave in a huge tent or hall, to me.

I like the smaller, intimate settings with great music and good vibes. It's hard to get a good vibe going when you have sweaty shirtless bodies rolling around you and every other person you look at has pupils the size of the earth itself.

i dont like to go to things where the only reason MOST are there is because of the drugs. most candy kids are just that because they are big into the drugs but they also like the music.

I CAN AGREE WITH THAT 2 A CERTAIN EXTENT......YOU NEED TO HAVE A CROWD THAT CORRESPONDS TO THE SIZE OF THE VENUE.....1500 CPACITY MEANS 1500 CAPACITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe. My point (of view) is that I don't enjoy a venue when it's packed, regardless of capacity. When you have several thousand people, it WILL be packed (in the front, anyway) and you won't be able to move around easily.

A perfect example of this is Armin nights at Spundae. A lot of people told me that they don't enjoy him as much when there's 4000 people there...

I (and others, I'm sure) don't go to a show for the crowd, but for myself to enjoy the music first in a comfortable environment ;)

This is why I didn't like EDC last year and wouldn't return unless there was an impressive trance lineup.

Not on certain nights, bas knows what I'm talking about.

Everyone who talks about Avalon's crowd hasn't been there on a Lawler night or a Danny Howells night.

that i agree with....my whole debate is over exactly that for upcoming Tiesto....im trying to balance my need for oxygen, and seeing Tiesto in a club for the 1st time.....i dunno its a cointoss for this one.....

and we're about to have one!!!!!

clovis, you down for lawler in san diego friday and then lawler at avalon saturday????

oh and the crowd definitely varies from dj to dj at avlaon. there are some nights that i go there, the crowd is very chill and i make all kinds of friends and hang with current friends and other nights i just get pushed around and slammed into and grabbed and it can just be a nightmare. but hey it's the price you have to pay sometimes to see the djs you want to see

Trance isn't the only genre in this world. And IMO, EDC has one of the best line ups they ever had. If you were to see each headliner individually, it would easily add up to several hundreds of $$$.
