to tell you the truth, i did not appreciate it then. i just went out there vicariously partying completely naive until it closed down. i think i learned to appreciate it more AFTER it was closed, then it saddened me to see a home in which so many nights i spent there vanish.

And the heartache of it all, there were some nights that i left early like 4-5AM cuz my ride was leaving and i never thought damn i should stay and reap the full benefits of it. i look back now and only hold onto the small small things from those nights.

Water dripping from the ceiling by the bathrooms
Rubber ball seats upstairs by Coat Check/Twilo Store
FREE WATER FOUNTAIN
DJs spinning in the bathroom
LINE MADNESS, I'm talking MADNESS like 2.5-3hr wait just to get in and everyone around you was just as cool to wait with, drinking and smoking on the line....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I WANT YOU BACK!

Well I'm sure you never thought it would be shut down. I've never heard of anywhere else that had this kind of vibe in the US and alot of my older friends up here actually got into djing/the edm scene just because of their experiences at Twilo. Rise has a good vibe up here and Avalon used to be one of the best clubs in the US but even at its peak couldnt touch Twilo.
