To me, you have to be on cocaine for trance; cocaine or ecstasy or speed or crystal meth – all that stuff to try to even maybe feel like you are feeling something with the music.

HAHA

No seriously, that made me laugh.

Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion.

I shed no tears over his observations. I will, however, give him credit for dumping ecstacy/N20 and staying clean from coke. That's something positive in my book...

Sneak is a talented guy, i love some of his tracks Fix My Sink and Psychic Bounty Killaz are excellent as well as the stuff hes done as part of Ministers De La Funk and Da Mob.

However

Ive lost a bit of respect for him saying this. It really grinds me the genre bashing that goes on between different sections of the EDM community, it happens all the ing time "ooooh my genre is better than your genre". Its like being in the ing playground at school, if you dont like a particular style of music thats fine, but theres no need to say its .

+1

There's no such thing as "my music playlist is better than yours just because I have 23124 years listening to edm", that's about the mindless and stupidest thought of all times. There's no such thing as "this track is great because I like it", music is a subjective world.

Respect to him for staying clean, I for one can say I've never done any drugs and don't expect to start now just because I go to raves and I get offered a lot of drugs... However I kind of sense some bashing to people who use drugs, I mean if they want to sniff coke that's their business, who cares really? I know I don't.

Like a lot of people, you just can't tell what is irony and what is seriousness. I've met plenty of people on the Internet who are capable of understanding what I mean so don't try and turn this isn't a "You aren't funny, except when I laugh at your character faults which are intensely amusing for the purposes of this insult" session. Maybe you can't see a tongue-in-cheek comment unless it's plastered in helpful smileys sign-posting the way forward. Maybe you can't enjoy TV unless there's a laughter track doing the thinking for you. Maybe you aren't very smart. Whatever it is, you can off and leave me alone, because if I wanted your opinion I'd have given it to you.

Oh, and feel free to drag up the breaks thread, actually read what I put and try and prove me wrong. It might save me having to reply to your knuckle-dragging bull in the future.

ok, let's put this in simpler terms then, i was well aware of the fact that it was a sarcastic "joke", but it still didn't make it funny. and also the breaks thing, i think nik proved you wrong so many times, it's safe to say that it's really not necessary

wow a house dj and hes saying he can "EVEN" relate more to herbie and james brown. He better relate to those genres lol they are foundational for electronic music. And on his comments towards trance? i think someone needs to give him a big mac so he can shut up. unwarranted, he isnt some master producer ringing of amazing tracks like olav basoski. And even if he was, saying his genre of music is better then another. Unwarranted. And it tarnishes the reputation of house djs, Abnoxious elitist (for what? sampling disco?), and snobish.

Whatever this guys out to lunch pun intended. hes just jealous cause hes 900 something on the dj list. give me a real house dj and producer like olav basoski. Ill pay more serious attention to what he has to say.

unfortunately for olav he didn't really make that cross from funky house to electro house (although he has tried). his production style is not very 2006. but he, like dj sneak, has made some amazing tracks.

Yeah, thank ing god. He's in it for the long run though.. He'll be around 5 years down the line when most of this e thas running through the house world blows over.

ha ha. well i guess that's one way to look at it. unfortunately before electro house there was funky house and before then acid house, etc etc. if he doesn't update his sound (not saying it has to be electro) people won't remember him in 5 years.

ha ha. No. There are tons of artists who don't "update their sound" which in my mind translates to "get on the latest bandwagon". You are really listening to some e music if that's how you look at a great producer like him.
