Its 531 pm and i just got home

What an awesome night. Serge killed it few times, and tiesto kept killing it.

I felt like a ball in a pinball machine though...place was packed, but i still had an awesoeme time...we left crobar at around 430am

I just got home and I'm exhausted but well worth it! Here goes the review!

Thurs Night Round 1........
I entered Crobar around 10:30. The main floor was empty but it only took about 1/2 hour for the place too get packed! (Sardine Packed). Kai opened for tiesto. I never heard him spin before. He had a House/Progressive House Style to his set tracklist was good just not really my style but something I can appreciate. Only thing, his mixing was a bit off! I don't think he was an appropriate DJ to open up for Tiesto. 2 am, tijs gets on starts out with "Novocain" (Pretty mellow track to start with, no real build up) but from there "It Was On"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Track three came on and I was sold for the night. It was possibly a new Tiesto ID (w/ vocals). For the rest of the night it was an amazing set! Banger after Banger! Never a really dull moment. His mixing skills has improved for the last 2 times i saw him! The set was about 3 1/2 hours long. One thing that Big Mike Brought to my attention was that he didn't finish out strong. I must concur!

And for the first time in about three years he actually came down and started shaking peoples hands! WOW! But the crowd got crazy. Hands flying in the air smacking tijs in the face! It was CRAZY!

Over all, The Night Was a Great Night!

But Then Came Round 2 (Friday Night)

Got to Crobar @ 11pm. was packed all the way. Got to listen to Hai Lee for a bit. He's a really good DJ! Glad to see a TA spinnin Trance @ Crobar! :)

Serge Devant Dropped an awesome opening set last night. Alot more trancy. Not what i expected from him! I like that! Tiesto comes on, & IT WAS OVER!!!!!!!!Probably one of the best sets he's had in NYC! Again Tracklist was amazing! It kinda died down towards the middle of the set but he came back STRONG & finished STRONG!

As for the crowd, Man................everybody was f@#*ed up!!!!!!People falling on me, Grabbing me, Spilling drinks on me! I smelled like a bottle of Greygoose @ the end of the night cause of all the drinks that got spilled on me!!!!

No Matter............Still was a killa night!!!!!!!!!!

To all the TA's I saw last night, it was nice to see ya'll!!!!!!

Full Tracklisting Coming Soooooooooon!

on both nights!

Oh, one more thing to add. I realize that the music should be the most important thing, but I felt the visuals were not the best, not as professional as is usually the case with the bigger shows the past couple of years. SOmebody had mentioned in the thursday review that they liked it that way, but that it looked more like psy-trance visuals.

Here' my short review; not sure if i'll have a longer one. Basically this set was better than the 18+ set. It also seemed like the crowd had more energy - maybe it was the music. Usually the younger crowd shows more enthusiasm. Maybe that's the way it is in NYC. Words to describe the set would be magikal, epic, took you on a journey, etc. - all the words used before. His set had a good flow. As others have said "Tiesto is back." He was very focused into the set and certainly seemed to enjoy it and the crowd. Althought the Miami WMC party was one of the best of WMC, I'd say this was a better set. On a side note, my wife noticed one of the Victoria Secret Models on stage and she was into the music which is cool.
I was enjoying the set so much that it felt like my endorphins were gushing at one point and I was completely sober - no enhancing substances of any kind icluding, not even one drink.
Anybody know the track he played at 4:10 AM ? I've never heard it and the few people that I asked didn't know either.
Not much on tracklistings, but as has already been said, not surprisingly, lots of tracks from Sunrise 5, but I like they way they way they flowed better and even the mixing seemed better. My wife and a new friend were thrilled to hear "Empty Streets."
Well, that's it for now, I should be coming down from this natural high.
Oh - Serge Devant did have a good opening set, and seemed to be getting off to a good start closing, but unfortunatley we had to leave. Since I'm not from NYC, I would have liked to hear what he could do for a closing set.

I didn't know you were coming to town!! Sveta told me she had friends coming up from New Orleans but I had no idea it was you guys......hope you guys enjoyed your stay and let me know next time dammit!!!;)
