I'm Done With College!!! [now w/ party pictards]

That's right, your favorite semi-c0r wh0re TA in the "grand" state of Iowa is graduating from Iowa State University today with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. Also on this fine , fantastic day I'll be commissioning as a Second Lieutenant into the United States Air Force.
After five long years of school, and four of those years in AFROTC, I'm ready to move on; take that next step; and experience what is going to be only the beginning of a new chapter in my life.
I'm going to be a Weather Officer in the USAF and I'm getting stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, LA. But before I go there, I'm going to Air Space and Basic Course [ASBC] in Montgomery, AL for a 7 week leadership course. I leave for that on 04 June and then leave for Shreveport on 25 July.
I'll post pics of everything tomorrow most likely. I'm unbelievably excited and I'm surprised I got any sleep last night. I really have been waiting for this day for years now. and it's finally here, yay!!! |

I just graduated college last year: Its fun till you realize you'll never have a summer off again for the rest of your life unless your a teacher or have some lucky job.

Heh its absolutely sickening beyond belief to hear of someone getting a BSc degree then walking straight into a job more or less the day after :D A year on from my BSc Physics degree and I'm no closer to getting a science job than I was on Day 1.
However this isnt about me so congrats, and best of luck. There'll be savage money involved in that and you'll probobly get a ton of military perks :D |
