...about the popularity of trance in general. I can't speak for the whole u.s. but as far as california is concerned, you can pretty much find trance only at certain clubs and raves (of course).. about 2 years ago trance was always the biggest thing at raves (always having the main stage) but now it seems as if house is taking over.. you can still find trance at clubs that only play trance but those are usually full of bumbling Etards that are only their to get ed up.. im not saying that all people that drop E are not there for the music but you can tell the difference between the people that are there and take extacy to enjoy the music and the ones that take drugs just to be ed up.. back to my question, this really goes out to all you europeans, canadiens(sp?), etc.. and anyone else that is not from america, how popular is trance? do they play it on the radio? is it common to find CD's lining the music stores? in american music stores (well most of them) there is like one small electronic section unless you go to Virgin Mega Store or specialty stores.. but my impression is that electronic music is the most popular style in europe so im just wondering how different the music culture is over there.. i know that here in the states, we are a hip-hop culture so that is wat is constantly played on the radio and what fills music stores (i don't mind because i listen to hip hop too) but i wish that electronic music was appreciated more over here.. anyways.. what are your thoughts?
gOuRYeLLa~!
most people in southern cali dont even appreciate trance..
they think its like psychedlic music...
or the people that do listen to it, only listen to it while getting e-tarded and ...
people are ignorant..

Here In Australia the rave scene is pretty much the same.
I don't even go to raves that much anymore. They usually play some trance eary at night when people are rocking up but the rest I don't really care for. But I'm happy to say that we'r starting to hear some trance on the radio here. Clubs are still good though. We have clubs dedicated to trance all over the country.

i think the rave scene is whatevers now around here.. i feel too to old when i go to parties now, im only 22 but i go for different reasons than most of the 15 an 16 year old kiddies are there for, im there for the music and atmosphere, they are there to be stupid and ruin the atmosphere, thats why i stopped going to raves a while go so im not sure how it is.. now i only go to clubs when big dj's are there and at clubs there usually is no atmosphere.. but im looking forward to seeing tiesto next saturday and i'm sure i'll be in my own world listening to his set so i don't give a waht kinda drugs people are taking around me because tiesto will put me in my own state of mind :)
