Review: Danny Torrence @ Sonic

What an amazing night. Went to kabin first, had a blast there. Came home for abit then head over to Sonic around 2. No lineup at all which was nice! Got into the club, it was pretty empty but Nevio was spinning some dirty tunes to get us started. The place filled up just enough. Talk about a beautiful crowd, tons of gorgeous ladies. Danny Torrence came on around 4.... and the dancefloor just became his playground. His style of house music is so dirty, at times the music was too good to even dance, I was just in shock. He rocked the place all night long, his mixes were perfect, AMAZING track selection, hadn't heard many of those songs before that's for sure. Definately an underated DJ. This guy is totally ready to go international. One of the best sets I've ever heard at a club. This was one of the best nights I've had out in awhile. I can't wait to spend the rest of my saturdays at Sonic. It's so nice to be home again. I sure hope they have him coming back often~!!!!
Went to zone around 9ish... apparently they cleared people out for 2 hours because of a gas leak or something. Paranoid Jack & Nathan Burrato KILLED it. |

Holy, what a wicked set! It's been a long time since I've dance that hard & that long... it was just SO GOOD, I couldn't stop if I wanted to!
Great crowd at Sonic... lots of kick @ss dancers, which made the vibe unreal... and Danny had no problem delivering the goods. I can completely understand why he's one of Montreal's best residents & hope he plans to make MANY more trips to Toronto because he's just made a lot of new fans. :)
My body is completely destroyed right now, but despite the pain, I have the biggest smile on my face! Thanks so much Sonic!

What an incredible night. I am very impressed by Danny Torrence. I'm so glad I got this demo CD. Listening to it brings back memories of the insane set he played last night.

Wow is Sonic gorgeous. I really like the flattened floor - I used to like being able to watch from the higher steps and be able to see the party, but now you're just enveloped by the party. Though I caught myself almost tripping a couple times because I was expecting the stairs :nervous: :nervous:
Tunes were ridiculous - RIDICULOUS. I think I said "sick!" 30 times. Nevio _REALLY_ impressed me, absolutely amazing, any Danny just blew the roof off. I guess it was missing a couple weekends out but I haven't been as sore as I was sunday morning in a long time.
