Underrated american DJ

Unfortunatly some dj's are underated despite all that they have accomplished. Micro is an american dj thta falls in this catagory.
He comes out of New York where he started a club called Caffiene which is now the inspiration of a well known annuall rave tour.
He spins some of the most uplifting trance around along with the best breaks ever to cross my ears...and i do not like breaks... At a big rave in New Orleans La. the cops busted up most of the party and put everyone in a low mood until Micro came out and blew the roof off having people rise out their seats hug eachother and even break out in tears. He pulls this off almost every show but still gets a bad rap. MY SUGGESTION is that if you never heard his work then download some of his new mixed cd's such a tech-mix 2000 ect.. and post your views on this thread.;) |

Yea I know his remixes are not any good but I am talking stage performance. Ya know...putting on shows that make first timers come back again and again. As to him beign underrated; I have actually come across whole post on how much Micro blews and that kinda *@^$.
It bugs me so much.:eyes: |

| yeah ive always wondered why micro is so awesome yet completely unheard of most of the time. for all you uplifting fans out there, he should be your fav dj period. i think its the fact that he works the US harder than anyone so hes huge here...but not really anywhere else. late/ |

As usual I liked him alot more when he did his first album Tech-Mix and even Tech-Mix 2000.
When he played Tekera - Breathe in You on his second album, I was hooked. Then about a year later I saw him and he play the same beats without trying to much. I think that was when he got really big and forgot why he got there, like most DJs.
But I did see him two weekends ago in Philly and it was good, but still alot of commercial tracks. He still gets me dancing, so if that's how we are rating him then he's still up in my book.
I just wish he would have a classic set like I've seen him before. Other US Djs that get overlooked are Donald Gluade or even Icey. I know they are not trance, but DAMN they can get you moving and pumped.
There are only two trance DJs that I like that get sorely overlooked. First would have to Theo out of LA (I think he's with City of Angels). I first heard him on Raveworld.net and was blown away. He sounded like Tiesto before I even heard of Tiesto. Search for Theo - How Sweet It Is on AG and you will understand.
Second would be Barry Weaver from Funky Techno Tribe. Even though he plays more of a house/techno style. I grew up in Portland, OR listening to him and Donald at parties all the time. The last time I saw him in DC he destroyed me! Moved everyone at Buzz, and people were asking who is this guys? Barry you Rock man.
Seriously check out Theo - How Sweet It Is
