Got neighboors problems?

Forget egg cartons, carpet and
foam.

Cement and Bricks are the way to go.

can't believe you people who live in dorms get upset when you get noise complaints. You want to make noise get some friends together and rent a house somewhere.

low noise tubby whats wrong with listening to low music.. i have my rights too .. and the worst things are .. those farkers do it too .. yet i don't complain .. they pump all those RnB and hip hop and rock stuff as well.. so its not only me man.. i guess its the choice of music .. alot of asians(my neighbours are asians)doesn't really listen to trance and it probably annoys them.. i guess im one of the rare few. hahaha
Zild
I don't know what the kind of dorms you lived in but the ones I have were a 24/7 party zone. Yet there are still quiet spots to study, and yes the library is right down the street if that isn't good enough for your lazy ass.
jun139
i live in a farked up dorm filled with nerds .. what can i say .. i chose the wrong dorm .. plus what im studying .. i can't use the library .. how do u wanna practise music in a library ???
Zild
How are you going to practice music without bothering people? Same as DJing.

Besides I have no sympathy. You should major in science.
jun139
yeah .. thats why i get the complains man.. and alot of it as well .. i can't wait till second semester when i move out ..

nah .. im not interested in science.. hahah im prefer music .. besides i have talent in the subject .. i got offered economics .. but still prefer music .
Zild
That sucks for you man. My condolences. Dorms aren't really setup for people who don't study out of books. Hell I HATE dorms. I can't live with a random ******.

I dont know how well do the egg cartons absorb sound, but they pretty much deflect it not in the straight path, like the empty wall would do, so basically the sound is spread around which decreases its intensity. I know for sure that foam deflects sound and absorbs some at the same time. But neither egg cartons or foam cut down bass reflections well. I've glued packaging foam all over my room and it does make a huge difference in echo and in ambient noise, but the bass still gets out.

I used up 2 boxes of 18 2'x3' sheet boxes. I got a third one laying in the corner, waiting to put it up. My room is 15'x8' and 9' tall. 2/3 of the room is done. Dead quiet. I like doing my college homework in the room, cant hear anyone else in the house.
