a question of morals

lets say hypothetically you have a close friend or a family member whom is on their death bed. lets say just for the sake of the question it's your mom and throughout your life you've had a generally good relationship with her, but you've definitely kept things from her that you'd prefer she not know, whether it be your drug habits or your crazy weekend sexcapades. lets say your mom has asked you in the past about these things and you've lied about them to ease her worries and more importantly, to avoid confrontation. when she's on her death bed would you rather tell her so that she dies knowing her son/daughter was completely honest with her or not bring it up so she can die peacefully "knowing" her son/daughter was a saint?

Depends in what stadium your mother is, I def wouldn't tell just before she dies, then she'd feel ty while dieing, IF i would tell, maybe a couple of months before.. okay afcourse you don't know when she's gonna die, but it depends on the situation. At least she has some time to sink it in.. Also depends on how openminded your mum is about those stuff, my friends mother didn't mind my friend smoked weed occasionally and he even had a weed plant at home.

Mum on death bed
"What *cough cough* is it son?"

Me: I done a bunch of drugs and I bang my girlfriend every night!!! Sometimes 3 Times!!

It's not going to make much difference so just don't tell her. Your parents probably did more drugs than you anyway...

I fail to see where unimportant like that is relevent to someone on the verge of passing.

Confessing to someone all of your own defeciences when *they* are the ones about to die is kind of selfish, I think. If she were to ask, I would tell the truth, but no reason to bring up the past when it's just to clear your own conscience.

If your mom is about to die and she asks if you've ever lied to her about going out and getting ing up on the weekend, maybe it's time to unplug her anyways. ;)

There is nothing I could possibly tell my mother that would impress her. And yes, she did more drugs than me... alot more. ;)
