This entire large continent has always been known as the Americas. There's South America and North America. Stop and think about the acronym 'USA' for a second. It's United States of America. There are 50 (well, 48) 'united' state-systems in that part of the Americas, hence the United States of America.
Canada is made-up of Provinces. If you're looking for living information for a specific area in Toronto, then you'd be far better-off asking in their local forums. |

oh when I used to work in customer service with canadians I loved to piss them off saying what state are you callin from ... what's your zip code .... they would always freak out when they figured out they were calling south of the border!
Otherwise yeah province is a much cooler name in my opinion Newfoundland and labrador is such a sexy name it turns me on soooooo much you have no idea. |

living in T.O is quite nice. it has its fair share of ty, bronx-like areas and Ive lived in nearly all of them. infact im in a pretty ghetto area at the moment but its still nowhere near as bad as the ghetto's of America.
its a pretty multicultural city. we've got the works.. chinatown, little italy, etc. downtown is pretty neat. lots of nice areas for sports. lots of parks. its a very nice city for someone whose a fan of nature.
winter is a bitch though. |
