cops ing with people ftl.

got stopped by a cop cause someone was in the bed of the truck, they searched the truck. found some bud and a bong. they made us throw out the bud, then 'accidently' knocked the bong off the hood of the truck. then he let us go. could've been much worse, like three of us spending the night in county. we got lucky. he was a real dick about it though. oh well, im quitting smoking anyway, as of today. gotta find a job, plus im getting bored of smoking again.

people will argue this, but i've found that reducing your marijuana intake to zero will definitely help your job search ;)

So why complain about the cop being a dick to you if he ended up letting you go? It's like you expect to get a great reception for getting pulled over for breaking the law. You're not only endangering the lives of the people on the road but yourselves (and the person in the back of your truck), as well.

To be honest, a lot of people deserve to be treated like dreck. They don't realize how they act so they keep villanizing the cops. Then again, sometimes there are just dick cops. So I'm not pitting the blame on you for how you were treated.

Yeah. I'm sure.

Good luck on both, though.

err... what? :conf:

as long as he's not high while driving, i don't think any other vehicles are endangered by an occupant in the truck bed...

What's to say the truck doesn't hit a bump in the road (or a ditch or anything else, for that matter) and the person in the back is sent flying backwards towards oncoming traffic? And that's only one situation. What happens if some flying debris hits the person in the back and they stumble out? Same outcome.

Why would you say it's absurd? It's happened before. What's to say it won't happen again?

from my worldly wisdom of these 24 years of life, i've come to realize that most people who sit in the back of a truck sit with their backs to the cab. therefore, i'm just saying the chances of these happening are highly unlikely. unless the person in the back is a complete dumbass and is standing up, leaning over the back, or endangering themselves otherwise, in which case they probably wouldn't have been let to sit in the back of a truck to begin with :p

You'd be surprised who's let in the back of pickups, nowadays. :p

i read a story in the newspaper a few days ago of a driver who's passenger wanted to stand through the sunroof on the highway. He did so, the velocity of air sent him flying out onto the road and he was run over by several cars.
and ya, i'd imagine a guy not wearing any seatbelt would be in some sort of danger if there was a sudden stop or a donkey walked into the middle of the road. and ya, people do fly off the bed of trucks all the time. My dad tells me plenty of stories of such when he used to work picking up dead bodies (i like his suicide shotgun story, BRAINS!!!!)
