Smoked Salvia last night... (pg. 2)

oooo man. im a jaded salvia smoker, because the first time i did it..i did 25x 'purple stuff'. 'purple stuff' is actually the name of it, and its said to be among the best salvia you can buy. Although as i said, technically its 25x, but the effects are more akin to 40x. basically meaning you will trip so hard you wont even know you're alive.
ive done it several times and have tried my best to 'master the trip'. im talking the 40x stuff, btw, the stuff that literally tears you out of reality and violently throws you into a made-up world where everything makes no sense, you cant talk right, and you sweat from every part of your body for no reason. im getting better at it,
every time ive done it, i sit indian style on the floor, except for once when i was sitting on a chair. the times im sitting on the floor i ALWAYS fall back...and i feel like the ground is sucking me in. one time i seriously was IN THE GROUND. i looked around and saw dirt and ant colonies,,because i was below the surface. of course this was all hallucinations.
holy sorry for the long post but i can talk about salvia for hours on end. |

is there a real difference between standardized and nonstandardized? or is it a marketing scheme |

i think that it has to do with the potency of the leaf you are buying. Salvia can be cheap, but GOOD salvia is expensive as hell. the 'purple stuff' was 50 bucks for a gram. that being said, that 'purple stuff' was 40x salvia (technically 25x, but for some reason the headshop guys very much emphasized that purple stuff salvia is actually much more potent and stronger than other similar extracted leafs, making it 40x rather than 25)
soo..to answer your question...i believe its 'yes'. |

| Nice Reminder! It was probably back in like ´97 or something.. i went home, had my peeps waiting for me. Someone told me before i got in that they've puffed. Later that night a buddy of mine suddenly stood up, screamed something like "1991 M*****rs" and hid under my bed for like two hrs.. Biggest LOL since!! |

| i don't do drugs, but salvia is the one thing i'd like to try, basically because, the trip is only 15mins, the trip is awesome, and no hangover (that's what i read/heard). |

Well I've had my own experiences with it, and have already posted them in other ta threads. But I will tell you a story about when I gave some to a friend of mine. He's been going through some and he wanted to trip out badly to a drug. I go over his house on a Friday night just to chill, drink some Irish Car bombs and smoke a blunt. He can't smoke anymore because it makes him too paranoid. So, me and a few friends went outside and hotboxed homie's car up, then came back inside. I'm feelin' pretty stoned and relaxed, but my friend is anxious. He takes me back outside and says how much he is fiending for a psychedelic, like acid. I tell him I can't help him with that ATM because my connects are dry for that weekend. But then I tell him that I still have some 20X salvia in the trunk of my car saved up from a few weekends ago. He asks if it's like weed and I tell him that it's basically an acid trip rolled up in 20 minutes. And that there was no way you can compare weed with salvia. It's enough to interest him so he goes back in the house and makes a homemade bong out of a 20 oz water bottle and a pen poked near the bottom. I pack the bowl full and light it up for him with a torch lighter outside by the street. It's night time and no one was out, so we figured it be safe enough.
The effects kicked in very fast. I took the bong from him as he just stares at me dazed, his knees start to buckle a bit. The friends who I shared a blunt with are also outside watching and we take a few steps forward to him because it looks like he's about to collapse on the sidewalk. But as we get closer to him he stands rigid and points a finger at us. He looks like he's about to say something, but he doesn't and lowers the finger down. We think everything is okay so we step in closer again, and this time he just freaks out. He starts backpedaling on us and as we try to calm him down he just doesn't have it. Instead he runs out in the middle of the street. It was the worst timing ever, for the street, which was deserted for over an hour now has one lone car driving up with its headlights on and my friend is running straight for it. Now we grow alarmed and immediately dash out after him. We somehow manage to form a perimeter around him and he runs back onto the sidewalk and then the lawn, afraid of us. The car has passed now and doesn't seem like it even noticed us, to our relief. But by now we're screaming at our friend to calm down and to stop running away from us. He can't seem to understand anything we're saying. He finally makes an attempt to talk back to us. What comes out of his mouth is, "Grrrerrbeecchhefffddah!" We simply stare at him dumbfounded, I mean we are stoned out of our minds as well and him just speaking this new language to us was just astonishing. He then says " it," and darts off to the front door of his house. He can't seem to open the door so he runs back to the garage and tries to lift the garage door open. But he can't manage to get the garage door open either so he runs to his car and goes inside. We fear that he's trying to drive away from us so we go inside the car with him. But he just sits there in the driver's seat, shaking, and smoking a ciggarette, trying to calm down. I had never seen anyone react so badly to a drug before, and seeing it while stoned just tripped me the out too.
As our friend finally sobers up some 40 minutes later, he tells us what happened. Apparently he was very taken aback at how quickly the salvia took effect. He thought it would take at least 10 minutes or so, not 30 seconds. He said we had all morphed into devils and were trying to take him to Hell and that was why he freaked. He doesn't even remember almost getting run over by the car. Just that devils were chasing him and the landscape was reverting into Hell. He felt lucky to still be alive. He then decided after that to never try salvia ever again. Can't say I blame him either. We all knew it was going to be a huge trip for him, but we never expected he would try to run away from us so suddenly. But no one got hurt, so it's just a story we all make jokes about now.

good in story.
though im surprised of the duration. when i trip, it seriously only lasts about 2 minutes. maybe even less. but that 2 minutes, im in a different world. |
