I got there @ 3:30am with: PrincessKim, OneEleven, shawn05, mitsutranza, ummmmmmmm...2 other friends Mo and Star and ya, I think that's it.

Marco was doing a nice job pumping some hard , perfect way to open for the madness that was to come :disbelief

I'm not a huge techno fan but I definitely don't mind a night out to it every now and then. He's an excellent DJ, he has a sound of his own, his technical ability is through the roof BUT!!! I dunno, I just didn't enjoy it THAT much. Honestly, it just wasn't my kind of music, although I did dance and really enjoyed his FKN hard basslines ouuuufffff it was soooooooooo loud in the booth!!! The guy is really something else to WATCH mix.

The place was nicely filled up. Lots of people were really into it and the overall vibe was a nice one.

I left at around 7:45am and was asleep by 8:30am :o

Hi 2: NickPilon, X-Cube (I think), Martin, Piper((mbf))haha! and all my crew as usuallllll:crazy:

Marco G was very good as usual!
Alex Bau was insane,AGAIN!
Ravemontreal
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G... I have heard many Djs, and I swear, Alex Bau's mixing is in a level on his own. He is the only one who makes me feel like a complete idiot, that's how good he is. And he proove last time that January's set was not luck... Layers on layers, tracks on tracks, it was just incredible.

When i was playing techno, that was the techno I wanted to play. Somehow, even if I don't listen to techno anynmore, he manages to make me love that like it was the first day.

I was tired, so I said to myslef i'll pick him up at the hotel, go sleep a little, and come back at the end. No way. The vibe was insane, and the place was pretty pack. A lot of people, that was a plaisant surprise since I knew many would choke because of the rain. But no, very very cool crowd, SO into it.

So there I was, no time to sleep, on the dancefloor making a last few sets at the end, and I just CRAVED that dirty, noisy, dark set. Again we left for the airport with Alex just stunned at how awesome Montreal is, the guy loves the place in the people, and you can tell he was so happy to be there. once again, he gave everything he had. And the chemistry and respect with montreal,s corwd is undeniable.

god, the place was rocking last night.

Demi at Stereo ing killed it, perfect mixing, retarted prog tracks and the entire set was more or less a progression in itself.

HUGE tracks were dropped, lots of ones I've never heard of, lots I have heard, Demi = Total pwn.

Um... well... just WOW! I cannot believe how insanely good the music was over the weekend for me.

First Friday for Marco and Alex. The beats were hard, and track after track I beat my legs to a pulp dancing!

Saturday night we decided to hit up Aria once again. Wow all over again. It was my first time hearing a complete set for Maus and Creator. Best time I have had dancing in a long time. Two locals I plan on seeing much more often from now on! Fantabulous!

Great weekend spent getting to know really great MTLTA's. *HUGS* to you all and we must do it up again soon!

Now to go power nap before hitting up Maxgraham at Helsinki.

:D

Walked in with the Ottawians, Stereohead, shawn05, Wisnia, and two very good friends of ours - non-TAs (for the moment)...Marco G was spinning and pumping up the place pretty good, he spun "Brass Monkey" which kinda came out of nowhere but was fun to listen to live.
Bau came on half an hour early, and I LOVED the distortion he opened his set with - kind of like a distorted wind and overall I'd say the music was very good, I liked that it was different than most nights I recently went to, it gave me a flavor of what a real techno night is like and that's an interesting experience.. :gsmile:
It was nicely packed as soon as Bau came on and it stayed like that for a good two-three hours, but it emptied out at one point pretty quickly - shawn, stereohead, wisnia - all left, and it was me and our guests left for that last couple of hours (Bau finished around 9:30)
We were all exhausted and sat out the rest of the show, nodding in agreement to each other that the music was sickk..

In those last two hours I recongnized a couple of tracks, both spun by Sven Vath, and Bau spun another SICK track that Vath spins all the time, yet to be identified but will be soon :D

Extrawelt - Soopertrack
Hugg & Pepp - Mazarin

It was great hearing those tracks.

Another thing has to be mentioned: Bau's energy. He was having a blast, jumping up and down, waving his hands, lassoing his towel into the crowd...it's always great to see a DJ loving what he's doing.

The weekend got extended into the Saturday and kudos to 111, her friend Victoria, Stereohead and Moe (not moevalith) for partying it up LIKE MAD the next night, with my favorite residents: Maus and Creator. Ahh, it was SOOOOOOO great to see Maus again, it's been too long and she's definately progressed in her sound, I was in total bliss the whole time she was spinning. :eyes:
Creator was just the perfect resident to end our weekend off with, his sets are always so energetic and it was great hearing The Switch again. Wow, what a song. Martin, I don't know how much you think Alex Bau makes you look bad, but just my opinion (and taste) : you were better than him :happy2:

Hi to my usual crew, and it was really great meeting new partypeople Oneeleven, PrincessKim and their friend Victoria. Looking forward to partying with you again soon! :D

*Sorry for chokin Helsinki :(*
