no you're right it actually is 100 bucks, but if you deduct the money he spends on drinks, little boys room & the cab.
It's a hard world out there, "competitive prices" is the key wordcombo, the "supply and demand" bitch hibernates in dark, little places and strikes you when you least expect it. :nervous:

Very true... but if the club/promoter was paying a "fair" price for him in the first place, they wouldn't be so geared up to overpricing and overfilling the capacity for Tiesto trying to recoup (& make) their money back. |

| I have no information to back this up, but I think it would be easy for Tiesto to command five figures for a TIC size event. I would venture to say that for a smaller venue he can net low five figures or high four figures. Let's say he plays out to 25,000 at an average price of (US dollars) $60 per ticket (I think I saw this on TicketMaster). That's 1.5 million for a single show. Give the stage crew their cut. Put something in for the VJ, etc. I think it would be easy for Tiesto to get at least $50,000 out of that 1.5 millioin. But, really, the moral of all this is this: I will never make $50,000 for playing records. Ever. :( |

why on earth would he charge "himself", in the TIC events which he puts on himself ie run by Black Hole he in effect plays for free because he gets his profits from ticket sales. sheeesh |

I don't think so... It's ID&T who organises it; and they have to pay Tiësto. He earns about € 50.000 for it. |
