awsome night. Way to packed to deal with at the begining of the night, but i guess i slowly accepted the fact that it wasnt gunna get any better. Started my night wondering around from one room to the next then heading to the KH to listen to Andy C set. Jesus it was amazing! Couldnt really deal with the KH anymore, it got way to packed so bounced to the Drink to listen to Demi. His set was prolly my fav of the night. First time seeing Deep Dish, after hearing not the best reviews, I was blown away, could not stop moving. Madness!
Great seeing so many people out, till next time

Freedom was not as organized as some events have been in the past, and Steve and I had to be true gentlemen sacrificing our body warmth to stay with the girls on the way in.
I don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but that was part of the arrangement, and I don't know if your end of the bargain is being held up.
The slight organizational problems was quickly forgotten however when the tunes got insanely good.
Saw most of Demi's set in the drink, which was great, and the last few hours of the dish was fantastic.
Left before the end of the party for our zone expedition, but enjoyed myself immensely the whole time i was there.

Almost forget to thank the gracious hosts of the weekend. Thanks Danielle and Carney for the hospitality. And thank you Josh for letting me get all of those thoughts into words at your palce man.:D
I greatly appreciate it guys. |
Thanks again to Danielle Shannon and Carney...
not quite warm enough for a true fiesta, but it was a pleasure as always to share in good conversations at your place.
Justin it was a pleasure to have you, however we do have to come up with a way to get the pigeons to keep up their end of the bargain.
That and how on earth to tackle our new arch nemesis...
subdivisions. |

I too have been quite heartbroken that our chivalry has not been noted...considering you put your health on the line by giving them your jacket also.

Two things that caused alot of stress in our lives the last couple of weeks. I think we can solve the problem with the pigeons by kicking field goals with these bastards at every oppurtunity.
Subdivisions, now this is a whole different type of problem. It seems that the thinking pills have been a good remedy to the problems posed by subdivisions, but I dont think they are a legitimate long-term solution. |

Thank you Stevie & Joshy for keeping us company in line and 'putting your health on the line' while doing it. True gentlemen. :) |

Having not been to Toronto and The Guv since Labour of Love '02 I was very excited to make the trip up from Minneapolis to see good friend Aaron Mossey and the rest of the top notch talent on the bill.
Fanciulli's set was fantastic although a bit too much pushing by people trying to get from one side of the room to the other. Really liked the way he mashed up the Erotic Discourse track by Paul Woolford. Besides a few minutes in the Orange Room and The Drink (way too hot and crowded) I decided to spend the rest of the night in The Gallery and see what the Toronto locals had to offer. I WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED. A great time by all those who played and very nice people to be met.
Deko-ze and Mossey for me were the standout sets in that room. Not having seen Deko-ze before I was very impressed and hope to see him many more times on future trips to Toronto.
Looking forward to my next trip back... It def. won't be another 4 year wait! |
