- wow, so you mean that people would choose Harper over the honourable bill graham, I should think so....so what do you think that number will look like when say, Ignatieff wins the leadership....come on man the liberals dont have a leader. that number is irrelevant.
Jayx1
it would be ironic if ignatieff becomes liberal leader. Considering allt he anti american sentiment in that party. Theyd have to shut their trap on that angle for sure.

I cant be so sure that someone who hasnt lived in canada for decades is fit to lead this country.

Most (if not all) national leaders are pretty disconnected from their country anyway. I'd be happy with any competent leader regardless of their country of origin. And "all the anti-american sentiment" came from one party member.

No it did not.. It came from several backbenchers, cabinet ministers and even the PM himself (moron comment comes to mind)

As for this guy not being in canada for awhile. How can he accurately be in touch with canadian issues such as what its like to wait 7 hours in emergency when he hasnt even been here for a few decades? I actually do still believe in politicians being "of the people" and being able to relate to them as a common man.

Harper will pick and chose where he will speak (right on down to his placement during press conferences) who he will speak to and to what he will make reference to. This is not what you seem to call "liberal opinion fact" that is what the human, unbiased, unpartisan eye can see.

I really dont know what you are referring to with the "facts" are you asking me what the liberals are spinning or what can they spin...i dunno dude....

The liberal scandal is dull topic, new leadership, will change everything and if you think that incorrect, then please, dont argue with me, just vote.

lol i'll repeat - Can you actually explain how the original article shows Harper chose to give a response, specifically to this paper, and specifically this topic, all because he thought it would be to his advantage to do so?... you obviously can't, hence, what was the point of the original link

im just taking shots at the liberals, obviously there's media bias both ways, but harper at least ran his campaign using facts to his advantage, the ad scandle etc, i thought it was obvious what i was talking about but guess not. On the other hand, the liberals ran a smear campaign.

Whos knows what new leadership is gonna do for the liberals, i dont think they're going to have that great a showing no matter who is leader. Its going to take a lot more than just a leader for them to fully recover.

riiiight...becuase unless you've actually lived where people have to wait for 7 hours in an emergency room, you can't possibly fathom what it must be like

come on Jay...that's pretty damn weak.

I'm seriously hoping this was only sarcasm, cause until I had to sit in the emergency room for 9+ hours last summer in Nova Scotia after crushing my toe I would not have believed it.

save it...

that's what you are,

that's what jayx1 is,

that's what a few people are,

why do you guys keep coming up with bull filler talk to justify your pro-party stances? it's not very convincing.

been there, done that myself and taken people there too...

I wasn't disputing that our emerg. wait times are ridiculous and unacceptable...I was disputing that someone actually has to live here to know that this is unacceptable ;)

Cool, no worries cause if you were, well heehee i'd just have to get involved here.

Seriously though, everyone knows our ER's are hurting big time, and no you don't need to live here to know that. Wait times in cities are just as bad as rural areas, and sometimes even worse. But, i think that before anyone says that they are not a problem should go sit in one before they comment on them.

ive said many things against harper.

I dont agree with the 1200 a year daycare subsidy in his budget. Why should the state raise your child? I dont agree with the sports equipment deduction either for the same reason.

But ive ALWAYS hated the media. Anyone on here who has read my posts knows this. Therefor i support anyone who puts them in their place. Id even support Paul Martin had he done this.
