I'm going to miss the opening matches :(

but the alternative I planned is also fun :). I'm going out with some friends. First grabbing something to eat and afterwards getting a drink, so I'll have to do with a summary of the matches afterwards.

anayway:
Germany - Costa Rica: 2-0
Poland - Ecuador: 2-1

What's the deal with Ballack?

Is he going to play this evening? ... cause I just read an article in which he's saying he isn't injured and he can play tonight

Yes.

He's going to play according to himself.

Congratulations Ecuador on a great win against Poland! I just saw the game today and I have to say Ecuador's defense was very tight for the first half but waned during the second half and did not managed to keep the ball on their turf. In other words they turned over the ball to many times and lost many crucial opportunities for a third goal. Regardless the final score still stands:

Ecuador - 2
Poland - 0

they were on another planet after the 2nd goal, they knew the game was over that's why there were shaky.

Ecuador pretty much secured a spot into the 2nd round too
