Concerning the spectacle that was ASOT 250 earlier today....
I was doing a calculation on this, because I thought it would end with a staggering figure.
I was right.
This program was broadcasting to at least 1.2 Million people around the world on the internet.
If we estimate that the average listener tuned in for 5 hours of the show, we find that the total amout of estimated time used to listen was 6 Million hours.
Take 6 Million hours, divided by 8,760 hours in one year, and you have a total of 685 years.
685 Years.
The human race collectively wasted 685 years on Thursday listening to ASOT 250.
We could have cured cancer. Instead, the world decided to eat a disco biscuit and trance out for a collective total of 685 years on this day by listening to Perpetual Dreamer and his band of trance-goon buddies.
It's ing mind-blowing to think of. |

| And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why mathematics were invented. This is the absolute pinnacle of their usage. |

| That has to be the most pointless calculation I've ever seen. What you failed to equate was that most of those people were actually doing something while listening to the stream. Take me for example, I tuned in for just over an hour and I was working for most of that time. |

maybe I didn't phrase it right then
Planet Earth's human population devoted 685 years of itself to Armin Van Buuren yesterday.
And off with the "well I was doing other things while...." story. BUSYING YOURSELF WHILE LISTENING TO ARMIN'S SHOW FOR 8 HOURS DOESN'T TAKE AWAY THE FACT THAT YOU MADE AN EFFORT TO LISTEN TO AN 8+ HOUR-LONG TRANCE SHOW |

That's why I averaged it out to 5 hours per person. |

If you break down the 685 years, and figure that an average human life lasts to around 70 years old (hypothetically).....
You could say that Armin killed 10 people with his music yesterday |
