I think that rather than argue with one another jon jon and tiesto should have a contest to see who has better "DJ moves".
Screw mixing skills, I want to know who has better "skills" behind the decks.
An inside source tells me that Jon practices all the time, so my money is on him! |

very true...as bad as Tiesto is as a dj, he would make a kick ass mime.
Even Okenfold is jealous of his Jesus pose:stongue: |

not being able to mix on ableton shows that he has no real talent or skill for venturing out of his lil box. anyone can just aimlessly bang out track after track that's not even his or her own.
a dj who is actually able create new & unique sounds and tracks - and within that, a fully rounded set or a journey, is the real artist. tiesto is the dj who hauls in the mindless mob with the commercial crap - which is also another reason why he had been "#1" for several consecutive years. that's his job and will always be - BUT when it comes to true genuine 'craftsmanship' in this industry, Sasha is THE king. |

good to see that people read the praise and critisms on here.
As for dismissing all ditractors as armchair djs. Thats a bit arrogant. So what about all those who support you? Are they also armchair djs? By his summation id say the answer is yes.
If this guy were serious hed accept both praise and critism equally by saying "i guess you cant please everyone, but my fans like what i do so i am satisfied"
What an arrogant sod. |
met him, I'd say he was quite humble, very nice actually. |

I won't name names - but - you'd be surprised how many DJs/producers are affected by the words written about them on forums like TA. Receiving praise from your fans is nice but what is often remembered are the trolls who go out of their way to slam that artist in a review thread -- just because they no longer like them, don't agree with the track selection or just happened to not know the meaning of moderation.
It's possible to critique an artist/musical piece without throwing personal attacks - the sad thing is - lots of people don't take that into account before clicking submit ... because it's "no big deal" since it's only their "opinion". |
