Although I'm originally Swedish I have been living in the UK for most of my life.
I grew up in Brighton, England.
If you actually take a look at Brighton in terms of creativity, there are lots of famous people that live there (It's even rumoured that Madonna has a house here.

Where I live I actually have Skint Records as my nextdoor neighbour (Fatboy Slim's record company). I live opposite the Casablanca (Which is the first residency that Carl Cox had) and I sometimes see John '00' Flemming when I go shopping with the Mrs... Brighton has been an important musical influence in terms of dance music since it started so I haven't really had much choice in the matter.
But it has been great to be a part of it.

Cheers

that bad is it? :(

Im 22. Spent half of that listening to trance (started recording sets off radio one back in 95). I started mixing at 17 (traktor) and moved onto turntables just 2 years ago. Ive owned my own turntables now for about a year.. best £400 ive ever spent! :D

I wish I had started much earlier. If I started mixing at the time I got into trance I wouldve had 10/11 years experience by now. Kinda gutted in a way.

im from a 3rd world country, and i started at 15, nearly 16. wasn't easy, and if i had it my way, i'd of started at about 13, but getting my hands on decks was a really problematic process. at 15 i met up with a friend i hadn't seen in YEARS, he is 2 years older, and he happened to own a pair of Stanton STR8-80s, and invited me over to spin. taught me everything there was to teach me about the basics of beatmatching. he never taught me to phrasematch, as he didn't really know what it was, rather, he just did it naturally. i figured it out myself by reading online and stuff. practicing with him for like 8 months i got to a decent level.
