to everybody who thinks they are superior b/c they dont do drugs n those who do only love EDM cos of E

u guys dont ing realise its 2 completly different experiences thats harldy comparable. I love EDM. I spend more time listeting to this stuff more than anything. I love it when i'm sober, but those few times a year that I take E are very special. Its an out-of-body exprience that cannot be explained to somebody who's never tried it (its like trying to explain colour to somebody whos been blined his whole life). It exposes a new dimension to life where I feel more empathy with the world than every. The music goes straigt to my heart and thats how it is in its purest form. you say "the only thing that gets me hihg is trance", but u will never feel that love, empathy and part of the music as u do under E...theres no physical way (as ur not intoxiacated).

so again to all u suporior ppl all i can say is

I'll freely admit that I found no liking in electronica PERIOD. I tried Ecstasy simply because I was curious... and boy did curiosity kill the cat! It soon became an every weekend thing... and a year later I stopped all use of ANY drug... but for the past 4 years I have been battling with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and have won that battle yet. The only thing I got out of 'E' was appreciation for electronica (which I'm obesessed with!) and it gave me a few good memories. But the after effects (for me at least) have been much harder than anticipated... I dunno if I regret my choices 4 years ago but I wish I would have known more about what I was getting myself into.

The first song I fell in love with during my 'E' use was DJ Encore ft. Engelina - I See Right Through To You... yeah I know CHEESE, but DJ Encore's "Intuition" album was AMAZING to me back then... eventually I found my way to Oakenfold, Tiesto, Armin, Infected Mushroom and such ironically AFTER I stopped the drug use.

Now I live a life of school dedication (becoming an architect) and am an avid music listener. Sucks thought that I'm on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds... but that was my fault for giving into my curiosity.

the relationship btwn psychedelics and music go very far back...one would not have gone as far without the other tbh...not even just electronica (rock and its many genres from like 1960-77)..some of the most classic music today would never have been imagined unless these artists were thinking outside the box (quite literally)..so to each his own

Ecstasy makes me want to listen to rock and punk and postrunk and all that noise. Electronic music really bores me on it. But I love it sober or drunk.

are you fucking serious? I love all music on e, especially alot of classic rock and stuff, but electronic is what I almost always spend my time listening to. The beat is so amazing, I just gotta have the bass and thump that pounds with my heart.

I think you're the first person ive seen who finds electronic music boring while on e but listens to it sober!:conf:  :conf:

hmmm. i don't think i've heard a more false statement. It simply just exposed me to something i've never heard before. Ever since then, i listen to trance quite frequently, sober or not.

Thats BS. so your saying without taking E the entire genre of Trance or EDM whould have remained oblibious to you and that you would never have discovered it? But once you popped that first pill all of a sudden you just became 'aware' of Trance?

I don't think he needs "E" to Enjoy Trance, it just helped him to understand the music, and now even if he is sober, Ithink he is able to understand what Trance Music is about.

yes. a friend of mine, who had rolled before, said that trance is tight while your rolling. I was skeptical, but after listening, i liked it. I was not "aware" of trance prior to rolling.

how ing absurd it is of you to argue with someone over whether or not they truely enjoy something. especially after he has justified what he had said... e simply being a means to finding interest in something. i know plenty of people who wouldn't give any sort of edm a 2nd listen, and after coming to a rave w/ me and rolling, they were hooked... at home, in the car, clubs, whatever. people get interested in things for a lot of different reasons, some even ::GASP:: because of drugs!!!!!! doing drugs doesn't make u an addict, and you tell me how its worse than passing judgements onto people.
