They're one of the first electronic groups I ever listened to years ago! I think I still have a Nitzer Ebb tape in a box in my basement....haha!

I am so in .......and then some.
Only got one nitzer ebb vinyl. So Ruben, you are gonna get jacked. I was listening to nitzer ebb this week and a little oingo boingo, or maybe it was just boingo( the group after oingo boingo).
Neile, you should take a look at the projects these guys did after nitzer ebb. didn't one of the guys start Wax Traks(a major industrial label).
My birth present too.
Damn, I am happy. Happy Dance. |

nice Tony! glad I have at least one person to go with, LOL.
no thanks to neile, that fool.
when's your bday? most of my vinyl is at my parent's house, sorry. :) but I do have a select collection of classics with me, you never know when you might have to throw down an old skool electronic set.
oingo boingo... lol. hey Weird Science was a great song.. and movie :P
Re: Wax Trax records - well not really - Wax Trax was founded in Denver then moved to Chicago - Bon Harris (from Nitzer Ebb) was involved but is not listed as a founder or co-founder. For those that don't know, Chicago was a HUGE haven for the origins of industrial music, for this reason alone - Wax Trax records. It's where names such as Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Front 242, and Ministry got their start. Other names such as PIG, Revolting Cocks, Frontline Assembly, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Meat Beat Manifesto, and the KLF also had early releases on Wax Trax. Wax Trax later became the ill-fated TVT records, of NIN (in)fame.
Nitzer Ebb formed in 1982 and broke up sometime in the mid-90's. As I was telling Ben Brown, this reformation is a momentous occasion for all Nitzer fans. I happened to glance at the setlist from DEMF... it is f'ing INSANE. I literally pulled my hair out after reading it. Well not literally. The last (and first :<) time I saw them was in 1990, when they opened for Depeche Mode @ the World Music Theatre. Quite frankly, I thought I'd never see em again, after they broke up. This kicks a lot of ass.
btw I just noticed my Nitzer Ebb mp3 collection is lacking some key tracks!! Such as Join in the Chant - Mix 1 by Phil Harding - which I rate as one of the best dance remixes of all time. I think I will need to do some vinyl-encoding, llool.
ps. neile I will be quizzing you on all of this at my next earliest convenience.
np: Control I'm Here (The Hacker Remix) omg... |
