coo night overall. satoshi played alotta cool new on his saw label. didnt like how lavelle went on peak hours of the night and played some weird rock fused edm stuff and his mixing sucked. sasha was pretty good..though expected more from him, played alot of fillers.

First, all of you who complained that sasha's set was short have only yourselves to blame for leaving early. To be honest, I was just running around having fun last night, and didn't even notice who the was spinning most of the time. We got there at about 11 to catch Zack and Kerrine's set. Highlight of that set for me was when they threw on PQM - You Are Sleeping. I know a lot of people took off to the main room when it opened at about 11:30, but the last track that Zack threw on before the hip hop guy was his first production, and I liked it. Good work, Zack.
Lots of great tracks tonight, though I wouldn't say it was the best group of main room sets I've heard. You guys already IDed most of the biggies. Sasha also dropped Halcyon during his residency last year, so it was good hearing that again. I wasn't annoyed with the crowd last night and it was better than we expected. Bracelets were nice for when it was really packed. Christina commented early on (like 12:45) that the crowd was older than she expected for an 18+ night.
We closed out the night, then went with a huge group to afterhours @ Love, only for me to catch Damian Lazarus and Three getting into a cab right around the block from the club. Gabe called from the other car and said they'd gone to Sol, but at that point (like 8 am), we decided we were done for the night. God, I drank so much red bull last night, though, and it was even tough to fall asleep when we got back.
Who's up for Pacha tonight? Barosoap can't go because she's got a funeral at 8am Sunday morning, so I'll be wandering around looking for peeps (or prey as Barosoap puts it). :rolleyes:

But that's exactly his style. I personally don't mind his tracks, but then ago, I was a rock fan before I was an EDM fan. he was a hell of a lot better than when I last saw him (opening for JXL a year ago). |

damn, i too would have given an arm and a leg to hear that track (Halcyon and On) dropped live..sasha would be the last person id expect to play that for some reason...
now im curious to see what kinda stuff he'll throw down when i see him next week @ bonnaroo considering its a generally non-edm crowd |

Me neither. I barely looked at the DJs last night, except at the end of the night, which is the part I was talking about. The reason I commented because people always bitch that him and PvD always suck out the vibe because they're never smiling and having fun when they DJ. Last night should have been an exception for those people |
