Corporations in the world cup

Naturally, behind all the success of players and coaches, there are also companies that sponsor them, and develop accessories and all sort of paraphernalia so the players can showcase these products. The logos of these companies have a strong iconic identity, and it's not unnatural for us to have a favourite brand.

Do you have any sort of preference? Is the country you're rooting for, sponsored by your favourite company? What's your favourite company? What do you think of their role in the tournament?

Personally, I'm biased toward Adidas: I like their products because of the durability (some of the stuff I have looked brand new for many years) and because I like the simplicity of some of their products (not to mention the fact that it was the cheapest I could get until I started buying converse shoes :p).

And I think that this relationship between companies and teams is quite benefical, since it leads to the development of better products.

lol I've always liked Adidas because that's the brand that sponsor Real Madrid... but when it comes to buying sport accesories, I tend to buy both Adidas and Nike, don't have any complaints about any of them.

Honestly, all of them are great, I like alot of them, but I like style more, so I picked Puma, they have done a great job, and the Italian team has the best style jerseys :D..but I do enjoy addidas too, and Nike and so and so..my vote was Puma :D

italy always has the most fashionable uniforms (however gay they might look).

anyway, i gotta go with adidas, cuz lira hit the nail on the head: simplicity being a key factor after durability.

haha I thought this thread was going to be a rant by Lira on how corporations are taking over the World Cup, if not the world.

I voted Puma.

A funny thing about both Adidas and Puma getting most votes is the fact that they were founded by members of the same family, heh.
