FCKING GUIDOS [aka sasha crobar review/pics]

I spent the last week in nyc visiting my relatives and coincidently, sasha, lavelle, and satoshi just so happens to be at the crobar on the 9th. Clubbing solo = FTL. I couldn・t miss the opportunity to party in nyc and see what how the crowd is different from all the times ive been exposed to the niche in los angeles. Not to mention, after all our bashing on the gotti boys, I wanted to see them ing jersey boys in person.
Around 11pm, I took a cab to 10th and 28th known as the meat packing district. (Later on I find out this name perfectly suitable for the crobar.) there wasn・t a line, so I paid my $40 and walked right in. the interior was ing awesome and the drinks were strong. The main dancefloor was closed, but there was this little area where the local chic dj was spinning some sick house music. After 2 drinks, and around midnight, the main dancefloor opens and lavelle goes on. Like others have noted, his style wasn・t for me. He was pretty boring. I lingered around, got offered ecstacy left and right, and by 1am and my 3rd drink, the main dancefloor gets comfortably packed and stays like that to the end :). There weren・t any washers in sight and everybody was dressed to impress.
At 2am, satoshi ing kills the floor, everyone goes crazy and I get mind ed for the next hour and a half. I work my way to the front/center and low and behold: ing jersey boy heaven. I don・t know if it was my 4th drink or the sight of flamers but, I just laughed my ass off till the end of the night. I felt as if I was surrounded by a new kind of human species. i wanted to take pics and videos of them, but If they knew I was doing that and since I was outnumbered, they would・ve murdered me. so, I started to around and talk to them and was like；；OMGZX YOU GUYS ARE SOOO ING COOL !!!!； slowly but surely I have formed an alliance with the guidos.
Sasha comes on at around 3am and just like always sasha is sasha; a one heck of a dj. But after seeing satoshi for the first time, he in stole the show.

you should have posted on the NYTA threads that you were coming. There were quite a bit of TAs who were there. :p

HOW DID YOU MISS THE WASHERS?!?! they were out in full force doing the agitation cycle next to the hottis. they just tend to behave better at crobar.
as for NYC clubbing:

yea a friend reminded me to check out the NYTA boards the night before but i had no internet access :whip:
i just read the NYTA reviews and i sure missed a whole lot.
as for the washers, im glad i didnt spot them! :toothless |
