1) they get paid very little and a lot of them drive great distances to get to work (i drive 30 miles one way, thats 60 miles a day in an suv that gets only 16 miles to gallon) and tips pay the majority of their bills

2) u may not think it is a stressfull job but you have to realize, there are hundreds of people wanting coffee everyday, the girls (or guys) who work the mornings usualy end up with 5-6 hours STRAIGHT of nonstop cars, which means no break, no food, no drink, no sitting down, no breathing, then u have people that dont understand this and complain, and it gets very stressfull

3) we give u ur boost for the day, everyone loves coffee

4) the majority of us go out of our way to be super friendly, even if we hate you, no not for the tips, but because we get yelled out if people dont return.

5) we steam (or pour out if its an iced drink) about 10-12 gallons a day of milk

6) unless u work at starbucks or some huge franchised place, you work alone, you have no one to talk to but urself, so once again, kinda not easy going job, you cant call in sick because no one else can cover your shift, if ur pukin ur brains out, guess what, u still have to work

and if we mix up ur drink, please remember that there have been 40-60 cars before you and it is easy to confuse your drink with someone with a simular one who stopped 4 cars before you.

sorry stressful day at work today :p but i was happy to ahve made about 125-150 in tips which goes to insurance for my car and the rest saved for college

edit** oh and u trying being hit on by a bunch of 40 year olds all day, gets pathetic, and sometimes quite disturbing
