still cant tell which record is faster?
i mean, i do tolerable mixes (i think) & get the odd no-ones-there-gig. split cue is ok, but hardly perfect. if and when they start to slip mid-mix tho im playing red & black on the roulette table.
anyone else crap too?
should i have spent a lot more time practicing & less time keying my records?
if a trainwreck drops in a club, but no one is there to hear it, does the trainwreck make a sound?
does batemanscott really a have two sets of genitals? did he lend one to tathi?

practice is what it takes. and get rid of that split cue business :) after lots of practice it just becomes second nature, kinda like training your brain to distinquish the two records without you really know that you're doing it, after a while it just gets easier (well it did for me).

Yes! I am so crap!
Have only done it once, and I did a schmicko mix of Southern Sun into Kernkraft 400, it just WORKED, and all my friends heard Kernkraft coming in and they went nuts, so I can clearly work a dancefloor.
But except for that mix, I kept forgetting which control thing went with the headphone only you hear, and which went with what everyone else hears. It sounds like you've figured out the headphones thing... I say who cares about the rest?! Just call yourself an experimental trance dj if something goes wrong and you'll probably get away with it if you put on an arrogant face. |

I havent played all that much, probably due to the fact that when I do it sounds terrible. I am too embarrassed for others to hear. How long have you been playing for PKC?
People say you just get the hang of it after awhile... maybe that isnt true for some? |
